buildings and places in their areas and those of the other countries participating in the project.

PROCCESS• Before the exchange,in pairs or groups

of three, students have studied a building on their area and created a power point about it.

• During the exchange, they have visited their partners buildings, received an explanation on the building and taken a photo together with their partners

• After the exchange, they have had to create a joint P: Point with all the buildings in it and individual P.Points about the buildings they have visited

1906 – 1969Schaesberg, Limburg.

Built from leftovers of the Wilhelminamine.

It was used to dump rest materials.

It is used now as a recreation area.

• Constructed in 1871• Many architects, one is W. Kloos.• Brickwork, glass, wood, steel are

used in the building.• Original use: Transporting from

and to the coalmines.• Present use: A tourist attraction.• It is located in the southern part of

Limburg, in the town Simpelveld.

second world war these fields were used for fightings and after it was used as a cemetery to remember all american soldiers who died during the second world war.

The style: Formal,modern ,basic (meant to give the souls of the dead soldiers peace)

Materials: Laza marble, glass, synthetics , english portland stone (the crosses ,mourning woman and memorial tower)(the fields are made from grass )

Castle built in 12th century. Made of Stones and marble. It was used to protect the city Now it´s used as a tourist attraction. Valkenburg aan de Geul (Heunsberg).

carnival meeting place.

The cuevaton is a cave.It was built in the 12 century. In the cuevaton used tolive the people and now is only for the visit of the tourist. It is made in themarl.

Santa María de Mave monastery

• It was built on the 9th century.

• The Monastery is in Santa Maria de Mave.

• The monastery is of Romanesque style .

• First, the monument was a benedictine monastery, then it was a family home and now it is used as a hotel and restaurant.

• It´s made of stone.

Aguilar´s Reservoir

• It is in Aguilar de Campoo.

• It was built in 1963.• It is used to make electric

energy with the power of the water.

• It is used to stock up the water in winter and let it go it in summer for the agriculture in the fields that are dry.

Monastery of Santa Clara • This monument was constructed in

14730.• It is a religious building constructed

in Gothic style between the XIVth and XVth century.

• The whole building is of stone.• The location is in Aguilar de

Campoó.• The original use is a place of

housing to the nuns, to make cakes and mass.

• It has always been used as monastery.
