Dimensions : To determine the dimensions of the foundations, we base on several principal criteriaas the stability, the differential settlement, the rotation stiffness, the lift-offand soil stresses.The stability is insured by some conditions: Non titling, non sliding, non lift-off: 0% in operating loads,50% in accidental case, 70% in ULS case, allowable soil stresses at ULS and SLS.These verifications are done according to the Fascicule 62or the demands of Vergnet.The differential settlement: We should limit the maximum rotation of tower following the requirementsof the manufacturer. In general case, we use the maximum rotation of 3mm/m. This maximum rotation defines also the differential settlement.The dynamic conditions have to insure: K,dyn > K,dyn admissible.The admissible dynamic stiffness should be imposed by machine manufacturer.II. ReinforcementsTo determine the reinforcements of the foundations, we base on two criteria: calculation of reinforcements according to EBCS-2.Verification of reinforcements for fatigue following Model Code 90 or DIN.The calculation of reinforcements of slab is done by finite element, with the help ofsoftware EFFEL and RC EXPERTISE according to EBCS-2.The reinforcements of pedestal are calculated as a column with circular section.The anchorage of anchor cage is treated separately.The calculation is done at ULS and SLS according to EBCS-2.
