CSU Application Process for AB540 Students 2015-2016
Must attend at least three years and graduate from a California high school
Students must sign an affidavit stating their California residency
The law requires that all information must be handled in a confidential manner
AB2000This bill ensures that students who graduate early from high school are not later penalized and deemed ineligible for AB 540 benefits. Specifically, the bill clarifies that a student who secures three years of high school credit and has a total of three or more years of attendance in California elementary schools, California secondary schools, or a combination of those schools, is eligible for AB 540, allowed to pay in-state tuition at the California Community Colleges and California State University, and eligible for benefits under the California Dream Act.

When completing question #11 of the Admissions application, also apply for, Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), when asked if you are interested in applying to EOP, say “YES”
At the end of the process you will see a link and be asked to complete the actual EOP application

After you receive the confirmation page, at the bottom of the page you will see a link taking you directly to Educational Opportunity Program link
Click the link and fill out the entire application. If you qualify you will be eligible to receive a grant and
various services It is a good idea to have the names and e-mail addresses
of the teachers or counselors that will recommend youYou will need to complete your EOP application with
your unofficial high school transcripts and letters of recommendation by December 15, 2014
The deadline to apply is November 30, 2014!

California Dream Act cont…Cal Grant information will be sent
to the college selected as your first choice. If you decide to go to a different college or university you must inform the California Student Aid Commission, so they can send your information to the right college or university.

◦Please check your Student Center regularly and submit any require forms to the Financial Aid office. Your financial aid application file will not be complete until you submit all require forms. This means that you will not be awarded financial aid until you complete your file.
Selective ServiceAll males applying for financial aid or the
California Dream Act must register for the selective service and provide verification to the Financial Aid Office.

register for Dog Days New Student Orientation in order to register for classes

Check it constantly, especially your To Do List
Tuition Installment PlanFresno State tuition is generally due the
last Friday of July and the first Friday of December.
An installment plan (2 payments) is available if you apply for it in Joyal 181.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)
DACA provides an opportunity for eligible students between the ages of 15 and 30 as of June 15, 2012 to obtain an employment authorization, social security card and qualify for a California Identification or Driver’s License.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Qualifications
1. Were under the age of 31 as of June 15, 2012;2. Came to the United States before reaching your 16th birthday;3. Have continuously resided in the United States since June 15,
2007, up to the present time;4. Were physically present in the United States on June 15, 2012,
and at the time of making your request for consideration of deferred action with USCIS;
5. Entered without inspection before June 15, 2012, or your lawful immigration status expired as of June 15, 2012;
6. Are currently in school, have graduated or obtained a certificate of completion from high school, have obtained a general education development (GED) certificate, or are an honorably discharged veteran of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States; and
7. Have not been convicted of a felony, significant misdemeanor, three or more other misdemeanors, and do not otherwise pose a threat to national security or public safety.
