The Super BowlLet’s go Titanium Titans! Let’s go Tigers! Every fan filled the bleachers. Stomping and chanting filled the gym room with tension of who’s going to win the 2010 CSS super bowl. On the coin toss the Titanium Titans decided that they were going to receive first. On the first play of the game everyone on the Tigers was scrambling around trying to keep up with their player, but that didn’t work. Miranda C. was able to break free from her defender and quarter back Masid K. was able to find her and TOUCHDOWN! The crowd burst into colossal emotions and yells. Just in a blink of an eye the Titanium Titans are up 7-0 on the Tigers. The Tigers couldn’t take being down by one touchdown. Then Arie C. and Tyler H. scored on an extraordinary touchdown pass. Making the game 7-7 on a first down. Masid K. and Miranda C. do it again. You could tell the Titans had nervous looks on their faces, but Masid K. and Miranda C. partnered up again to give their team 7 more points, a 14-7 lead. The Houston Tigers were probably concerned about the time and the score. They rushed themselves to score, and that cost them. The Titans intercepted. Pouts and gloomy faces were shown on the Tigers. The Tigers were discouraged for a minute but then got their game back on. A throw by the Titans QB was picked up by Tyler H. Could this be a chance to tie the game???? Apparently yes. The Tigers scored on the 4th down. “Touchdown” yelled Mr. D. Tyler H was sprinting with the ball after being intercepted again! “Hike” yelled QB Tyler. “Run, run, run!” An astonishing spiral throw to Arie was complete. Touchdown!!!!! Mrs. Houston’s kids rose from the bleachers stomping and chanting “Tigers, Tigers!”. “No, no, no” shouted the Titanium Titans. They lost the ball on 4th down. Could this be the last and final team to score? Scrambling around on defense? No, it wasn’t. On first down for the Tigers, the ball was intercepted by Kevin E. “First down for the Titans” yelled Mr. D. There were 2 minutes on the clock and the score was 21-14 for the Tigers. They ran for 5 yards and then they were tagged. They got the second down!!!! Audrey D. hiked the ball to Kevin E. the QB who threw it to Masid K. who caught the ball in the end zone. “TOUCHDOWN” yelled Mr. D. There were 30 seconds left on the clock. The Tigers had to score a touchdown to win the game in 30 seconds. Times up! Both teams walked up to Mr. D with confused faces. It’s a tie yelled players. The players were interrupted by Mr.D saying something on the microphone. “ I declare this game a 21-21 tie” Even though there was supposed to be one champion team , there were two this year. This 2010 CSS super bowl couldn’t have gone any better, mostly with 2 champions.

This year Cougar Publishing has decided to create 2 online magazines one of which is called the CSScoop and it will be published once every week. The CSScoop features articles about recent events happening in our school community. We will also have a weekly survey near the front door, which you can give your input on. Another part of this magazine will include photos from teachers of exciting events. So if you want your articles or pictures featured in the CSScoop drop them off in a bin that says CSScoop right outside of Mrs. Mann’s office. As most of you know Cougar Publishing is for students that have a piece of writing and want to have it published. This year not only can you publish books but you can have your writing or drawings of any kind in our online literary magazine. In addition to the CSScoop we have the Literary Cottage. This one is for anyone participating in Cougar Publishing.New Edition
