Trust & Transparency
We have a strong sense of business ethics and we put great emphasis on sharing common values.
We act as stewards in upholding the firm’s culture and reputation.
We value long-term development and considered growth over short-term gain.
We seek opportunities to pool knowledge and work together.
We adopt innovations in the firm’s operation that do not compromise our culture or unique model.
We treat others with a high degree of respect whatever their background – for us, good manners matter.
We are aware of those around us and offer to help colleagues under pressure.
We take an ethical approach in all instances; we are proud to uphold the integrity of the Luxembourg Bar.
We build better communities, immersing ourselves in a positive working environment and supporting charitable initiatives at home and overseas.
Our joining team members receive our values and code of good behaviour on their arrival and are encouraged to uphold these in their daily work.
Developing communities
Our firm is regularly involved in a range of pro bono work, providing free legal services to non-profit organisations and individuals in need. As lawyers, we believe this part of our activity to be ethically important and to be fundamental to the integrity of the profession and the judicial system. In the emerging sector of microfinance – where Luxembourg has developed into a premier player – we regularly provide our services either on a purely pro bono basis or at very significantly reduced rates.
We have built strong partnerships with three NGOs, Red Cross, active locally and internationally, Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, actively supporting children and their families suffering from cancer and Friendship, active in Bangladesh since 1998.
We have a long-term partnership with “Croix-Rouge luxembourgeoise” through which we do fundraising, pro bono work and volunteering efforts. Not only do we support the Luxembourg Red Cross financially, but we also give them moral and personal support in their various projects and events. Participating in the Croix-Rouge’s annual “Quinzaine du Don”, collecting material for refugees hosted in the “Foyer Don Bosco”, organising internal fundraising events or promoting blood donations are just some of the projects in which the entire staff is involved and where we endeavour to “improve the lives of vulnerable people”.
Since 2008 we have been actively and financially supporting the “Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner”

(a registered charity in aid of children with cancer).
Established in Bangladesh in 1998, "Friendship" is a value-based organisation, which identifies and reaches the poorest of the poor and the most marginalised communities in Bangladesh which we support financially and logistically. "Friendship"'s primary mission is to help the destitute population of the Nomad Islands (the Chars) located on the Brahmaputra, and bring emergency relief and rehabilitation to disaster-stricken areas of the country. It acts primarily in the areas of health, education, economic development and emergency assistance. There is also an important cultural preservation dimension to its commitment. in particular we have been sponsoring Holokhana Char primary school for the past 4 years in one of the Islands located on the Brahmaputra in the Northern districts of Bangladesh.
In response to the devastating floods all over the world in summer 2016, the firm provided exceptional funds in aid of victims in Luxembourg as well as in Nepal and Bangladesh.
In May 2016 the firm entered into a three-year partnership with FNEL, Fédération nationale des éclaireurs et éclaireuses du Luxembourg. We are proud to support Luxembourg scouts and guides in their efforts to help children and young adults reach their full potential. We share the same values and endeavour likewise to develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication,
self-motivation, cultural and environmental awareness and commitment.
In addition to the CSR commitment at corporate level, we encourage our staff to launch individual initiatives and provide them with the logistical support needed to carry out their project. A group of volunteers regularly engages in fundraising projects coupled with teambuilding events (baking events, sewing workshops, sport events) to support the Luxembourg Red Cross or other charities.
Environment & Climate Change
We have established an environmental programme and, in this respect, strengthened initiatives to encourage recycling and the use of environmentally friendly products.
We exclusively use recycled FSC paper.
We promote black and double-sided printing by default.
For our office supplies we prefer “green” products, i.e. re-usable products and products made of recycled and/or recyclable materials whenever these are available.
We ensure that waste is properly separated and provide specific on-site waste collections for certain products (batteries, cellular phones) also for our team members. Since 2011, we have functioned under the "SuperDrecksKëscht fir Betriber" Label initiated by the Luxembourg Municipality.

Report 2016
Croix-Rouge Luxembourgeoise Luxembourg Red Cross is one of historic CSR partners whom we support and sponsor in many ways. Our teams also like to con-tribute to this partnership in a very personal way.
This year volunteers of our firm were more numerous than ever and beat the record of the donations collected in the neighbouring streets covered.
Flowers have a language of their own. They make us smile, both in giving and receiving. Our com-munity spirit is expressed at spring time through the flower arrangements sold at our fund-raising event “Flowers of the Spring”. All profits from the sale go to the Luxembourg Red Cross to help support the most vulnerable in our community.
In March volunteers get together during lunchtime to arrange baskets of chocolates and sweets for families sheltered by Luxembourg Red Cross at Foyers Don Bosco and Lilly Unden.

14 April – After work Swimming for the international Section of the Red Cross The After work Swimming event is an annual Corporate Challenge hosting several different competitions and other activities for families and friends.
1 – 15 September Back to school Collecting school supplies for refugee children Before the annual return to school after the summer holidays, which traditionally takes place on 15 September in Luxembourg, we collected and donated new school supplies and stationery for the children living in refugee homes managed by the Luxembourg Red Cross.
Elvinger Hoss Prussen helped the international section of the Red Cross to organise the first “Centenary Corporate Challenge”. This first event was designed to mark 100 years of the Red Cross Luxembourg. Featuring competitions from track-and-field to tug-of-war, Triple C boasts fun events for team participants as well as their fami-lies and friends, while raising money for vulnera-ble people in Luxembourg. With more than 300 participants this event was a great success.
Running the ING night marathon has become one of our team’s sports highlights of the year. Twenty of our runners took the challenge and ran for the Red Cross, whereas many more of their colleagues ad-ded to the excitement by sponsoring their participation. All the money collected went to the Red Cross to help finance their campaigns of support for the most vulnerable.

Friendship
Friendship International and Friendship Luxembourg celebrated their 10th anniversary in 2016. As a long-term partner of the non-profit organisation helping the poor in otherwise inaccessible areas of Bangladesh, we were very happy to be part of the celebrations.
23 – 30 May Friendship 10-year anniversary
Elvinger Hoss Prussen welcomed a delegation who
made the journey from Friendship Bangladesh on
this special occasion. We took the opportunity of
our friends’ presence in Luxembourg to exchange
and share best practices during workshops with
HR, office management, logistics and marketing
teams and to celebrate.
Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner
26 – 30 September – Go gold for children with cancer
Like other forms of cancer, childhood cancer has an international symbol, the gold ribbon. Go Gold is a
worldwide campaign to raise awareness of childhood cancer. Cancer is the first cause of death by disease
in children over the age of one, with 6,000 child deaths each year in Europe. In Luxembourg, the Fonda-
tioun Kriibskrank Kanner cares for more than 190 families every year, 80% of whose children suffer from
cancer and 20% from rare diseases.
By lighting up our building in gold we wanted to demonstrate our dedication to the Fondatioun
Kriibskrank Kanner’s cause and our support for the children and their families.

DayCare
26 october – Sponsoring dayCARE, an initiative by Care Luxembourg
Over the past six years, ʺdayCARE˝ has helped more than 1,000 high school students to discover Luxem-bourgish companies and to collect more than 125,000 euros in donations for humanitarian action. We have been supporting the initiative since 2012.
Amnesty International
Amnesty International Campaign
Volunteers sold candles to support the Amnesty
International Campaign against violence.
October – Elvinger Hoss Prussen goes pink
During “Pink October”, Elvinger Hoss Prussen launched several creative initiatives in support of
patients with breast cancer. Some raised funds by walking or running, others collected pink
shoes, some demonstrated their culinary skills by baking cakes and other goodies in support of
the cause, and some created hand-made pink objects to sell. Many other daily “pink” activities
were apparent during the month, all generously supported and encouraged by sponsors.
The money collected was donated to three charities:
Europa Donna, to support patients with breast cancer;
Fondation Cancer, to help fund a breast cancer research project; and
Omega 90, to provide palliative care for patients in the final stages of life and their families.

L’Atelier Charity Market
7 December – Charity Market for the Red Cross and Friendship
L'Atelier is a group of around 20 volunteers who regularly get together to support the Red Cross. They meet during their lunch break for needlework and sewing projects: it is an opportunity to forge a bond between colleagues and to (re-)learn the basics of sewing. This year they drew particular inspiration from the theme of mountains and we were able to see their creations on sale for the first time at the Red Cross Bazar, … a few days before the sale at the office which enjoyed great success in a very warm atmosphere.
Mam Velo op d’Schaff
15 May – 30 July - Mam Velo op d’Schaff
A team of four participated in the national
