Interview with the Chairman.

Why has Technogym® embraced a mission with a strong commitment to social

responsibility since its beginnings?

We have always believed that the greater the number of people enjoying a wellness

lifestyle, the better the world will be. This idea has become the flagship of a transformation

and a revolution that drives each one of us to live in wellness and to spread the wellness

philosophy across the world.

What does being The Wellness Company entail?

It entails inspiring a better quality of life, one that is geared towards the prevention of

illness and the wellbeing of people and the planet by means of our products, our services

and our behaviour as individuals and as a company. In 1998, inspired by our staff’s shared

commitment to wellness, we adopted a social responsibility system in accordance with the

international social accountability 8000 standards.

How is Technogym® enacting its mission of bringing wellness to the world?

The aim of our Corporate Social Responsibility 2008 is to inform our stakeholders as to what

Technogym® is doing to ensure its social, environmental and economic commitment. In

short, what projects and strategies have been and are being carried out to make wellness

easy and accessible to all, because keeping people in good health is good for people, for our

Wellness for a better world

Physical activity is the mosteffective tool to proactivelyprevent illness and promote health.

People’s state of health and quality of life can be improved by investing in their health and by encouraging the prevention of illness.

At Technogym® Wellness means contributing in a significant and proactive way towards improving society in all of these aspects:

• improving people’s quality of life, both from the physical and relational point of view • reducing expenditures on health care• growing a shared social and environmental culture and education• increasing productivity.

Physical exercise is an effective medicine to prevent and fight all those diseases that derive from a sedentary lifestyle, bad eating habits, stress and a population that is becoming increasingly older.By educating people about Wellness and by promoting physical exercise as a lifestyle that can be carried out everywhere (at the gym, at home, at work, when travelling), it is possibile to improve people’s quality of life and to reduce public and private health care expenditure.

Technogym’s Medical and Scientific Area searches for solutions to answer the needs of the population and makes use of the best studies in non-pharmaceutical medicine, neuroscience, biomechanics, orthopedics physiatrics, sport and training methodologies to develop innovative and engaging solutions.

In order to make equipment safe and to provide for the needs of different user segments, Technogym® avails itself of scientific and academic bodies to provide support and scientific validation to each product.

Our collaborations include Seattle University’s Center for the Study of Sport and Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of L’Aquila, of Verona and the Auxologic Institute of Piancavallo in Italy.

Research is primarily aimed at evaluating the positive effects that our products generate in terms of health and global wellbeing for the user. For many years now Technogym® has been investing in important and ambitious research projects concerning subjects of public interest in collaboration with other independent bodies, to establish the effects of physical exercise on a number of disorders.

One of these projects is the Italian Diabetes Exercise Study (IDES), a study into the effects of prescribing physical exercise to patients affected by type 2 diabetes. The outcome of this study and the results of the physiological and biomechanical investigation are being analysed and shared with the international scientific community by means of magazines and conventions. The Medical and Scientific area also covers the important role of promoting within society a better quality of life based on the regular practice of physical activity.

In recent years the Western world has witnessed an increase in metabolic-related diseases such as glucose intolerances, cardiovascular and coronary disorders and obesity. Metabolic Syndrome affects both sexes starting with young people and increases with the aging process, reaching 45% in individuals aged 60–69 years. (Ford ES et al. Prevalence of the metabolic syndrome among US adults: findings from the third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. JAMA. 2002; 287:356-359). An alarming figure, given the fact that the population is becoming older.

A number of studies and research show the importance of physical exercise combined with healthy eating habits to prevent metabolic disorders. In 1996, Technogym® contributed to the creation of the Institute on Exercise and Health (IEH). The Institute has shown evidence that the physical exercise is fundamental for both primary and secondary prevention. Research carried out by John Hopkins University Medical School has highlighted how a six-month programme of regular physical activity can reduce the number of patients affected by Metabolic Syndrome by 41%. (Source: American Journal of Preventive Medecine, January 2005). Another American Institute, The College of Sports

Medicine, invites the ‘prescription’ of physical exercise as a therapy in many disorders. (Source: American College of Sports Medicine, ACSM’s Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription, 7th edition, 2005).Technogym® is also one of the main sponsors of a research project aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of physical exercise in patients affected by Metabolic Syndrome and is permanently engaged in promoting moderate and constant exercise, as suggested by the OMS campaign Move for Health in 2003.

Technogym® supports YMCA’s Activate America to help all kids, adults, families and communities in their pursuit of healthy living and wellbeing. Activate America involves more than 80% of the 2,663 YMCAs across the USA and sponsors projects such as ‘America on the Move’, ‘Healthy Kids Day’and ‘Pioneering Healthier Communities’.

Technogym’s commitment articulates itself in a highly diversified offer that makes the choice of performing regular physical activity easy and accessible to those people who do not practice it regularly, by means of innovative and engaging products and programmes.

Social and health authorities are paying ever-increasing attention to the health and wellbeing of senior citizens who represent the fastest growing segment of the population. Many studies confirm the effectiveness of cardiovascular and strength equipment to fight aging diseases and improve psychophysical wellbeing.

According to University of Maryland kinesiologist Ben Hurley, ‘Starting at age 50, people begin to lose 12% of their muscle strength and 6% of their muscle mass every decade. But weight training can reverse these effects in a big way. Two to three months of weight training three times a week can increase muscle strength and mass by one-third, making up for three decades of loss of muscle strength and muscle mass.’ (‘Exercise: The real fountain of youth’, Kathleen Doheny; USA Today, 30 July 2004).

According to another American study, strength training for active aging adults increases bone density and reduces the risk of falls, and has a profound effect on people’s mental and emotional wellbeing (Growing Strong - Strength Training for Older Americans, 1 April 2004).

Technogym’s commitment towards active ageing takes the shape of inclusive and non-intimidating equipment, testing and programmes to monitor parameters during training and diversified protocols and training methods in line with the needs of senior members. This makes training easier for those who are not regular gym users and who have to overcome personal, cultural and social barriers in the pursuit of their wellbeing.

In 2004 the management of Norwegian Skullersund Centre started targeting the over 40 segment, and in particular those over 65, using highly qualified instructors and the Easy Line Circuit for low intensity workouts (40% of maximum heart rate of 220 minus age). Hospitals are the first to recommend the Centre to their patients

due to its proven experience and to its capacity for encouraging and motivating its members with the Easy Line Circuit. Its ease

of learning, low intensity and short duration enable members to train regularly and with

good results.

With obesity and type 2 diabetes growing amongst young people, it is essential to invest in education that guides them towards a healthier lifestyle with an easy and fun approach to physical exercise. With this in mind, Technogym® is carrying out a number of initiatives in favour of young people and of the community as a whole during school and leisure hours.

In Great Britain, Technogym® conducted a national campaign to promote physical activity in schools in an innovative manner in collaboration with Youth Sport Trust. This project underlines the important role that schools play in helping young people to develop a healthy and active lifestyle. The ‘Wellness Road-Show’ competition challenged students and teachers of 90 schools in the country to come up with ideas and projects.

To promote physical exercise as a healthy daily habit at all ages, Technogym® is taking part in two innovative projects. Both rely on the use of the Easy Line training circuit to burn calories through cardiovascular and strength exercises of moderate intensity and duration. The projects include the installation of Easy Line in Liverpool Central Library (UK), to stimulate as many library users as possible to stay fit in both body and mind, and in Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport where the Local Authority wanted to offer the community the chance to stay active even when travelling.

In the United States and in Europe, employees’ poor health weighs heavily on the economy and on productivity. Sedentary and stressful lifestyles and poor eating habits leave workers more prone to diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, strokes and depression. The cost of medical care and loss of productivity falls back on the employers who to face these enormous expenses and the risk of paralysing business.

Many companies and organisations have adopted the message that Technogym® has been promoting for many years - preventing is better than curing - and have put in place a number of programmes aimed at the promotion of health based on regular physical activity, a well-balanced diet and a positive mental approach. For each dollar invested in promoting health, these companies save between three and eight dollars on health care costs and increase productivity due to reduced absenteeism. (Source: IHRSA Report 2005).

Technogym’s Corporate Wellness Programme includes personalised training programmes combined with education relating to physical activity, nutrition, and healthy living held in the workplace, to help fight stress, increase energy, improve health and reduce absenteeism, thus increasing performance and productivity. Technogym® is the Wellness Business Partner of many successful companies that have supported their Business Plan with a Wellness Plan, including: Ferrari, McLaren, Google, Philips, BMW, Vodafone, HSBC, The Dow Chemical Company, Adidas, IBM, Nokia, Toyota and many others.

Wellness for a better world

More than 500 million disabled individuals in the world find it difficult to perform ordinary everyday activities. However, thanks to changes in social, cultural and economic conditions and scientific progress, there is a significant increase in the number of disabled people who practice physical activity of some sort. As of today, it is estimated that 45% of the disabled population performs one form of physical activity ranging from rehabilitation to high-level ability. (Source: International Paralympic Committee).

‘The pleasure of performing physical activity is without barriers’.

Universally-accessible cardio training.Excite™ Top

It is universally recognised that physical activity can improve the quality of life of disabled people. The positive effects of physical exercise applied for rehabilitation purposes and especially for psychological and cardiovascular benefits are widely known. Technogym® is a supporter of the Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI). This project was launched in the UK in 1998 to answer the need of making the benefits of physical exercise accessible to all.The Excite™ line, as well as a number of machines from the Element and Selection strength lines, have been IFI certified meaning that the equipment meets the requirements for disabled users. IFI-certified equipment can be used both by able and disabled users. Criteria for inclusion require satisfying not only movement but also sight, hearing and learning impairments.

Excite™ Top is an upper body ergometer that enables those affected by lower body

movement difficulties to carry out a cyclic and continuous cardiovascular training. This type of training requires intense cardio activity because the heart has to pump blood to a higher level and represents therefore the ideal workout to increase aerobic power. The movable seat enables wheelchair access;

as well as other specific features - telescopic rotating arms, adjustable arm height, backwards

and forwards rotation - make the product extremely versatile and adaptable to different body shapes. The arms can be also positioned symmetrically for hand bike training.

Technogym® Social Choice

Bringing Wellness where it is needed most.

We believe that the wellbeing of a community can be improved by caring for and investing in its most precious resource: its citizens. To do so it is necessary to invest in people and in their health, to generate opportunities for learning and socialising thus promoting a wellness culture.

In 1999 Technogym® launched the Technogym® Social Choice project - a commitment shared and enacted globally by 13 subsidiaries and over 70 distributors -that runs a number of initiatives in Italy and globally with the common objective of promoting and enhancing people’s quality of life.

In full coherence with its mission, Technogym®, has been actively collaborating at local, national and global levels with associations and non-profit organisations, in the firm belief that when promoting Wellness it is necessary to start from the most vulnerable groups (children, disabled, elderly) and that these actions are effectively only if done on a regular basis.

Technogym® actively supports events that contribute to healthy lifestyles in local areas in which the company was born and in which it operates. It is these areas from which it derives its culture and the values typical of lands rich in hospitality and products, as well as professionalism and capabilities.

‘Rainbow Project’ in Zambia, Kenia and Tanzania

Technogym® supports the Rainbow Project, born in 1998 thanks to the Pope John XXIII Community Association, with the aim to develop those conditions that guarantee self-support and regional development in the local area. One of the projects involves agricultural microfinancing so that the poorest families can receive basic training and modest financing to invest in agricultural activity to ensure a dignified job and guarantee medical care and basic instruction to their children.

In Spain and Argentina against hunger in the world

In 2006 Technogym® and Bard International, its Argentinean distributor, collaborated with Unicef and Nike at a fund-raising initiative for extremely indigent childhood. Participants donated 1$ for each Km run on a Technogym® treadmill, moved on by the slogan ‘Running 10 Km helps your health and poor children around the world’. Technogym® Trading SA, Technogym’s Spanish subsidiary, supported the ‘Action Against Hunger’ association, in favour of indigenous population across the world, donating 1 Euro for each Km run on a Technogym® treadmill.

Support to non-profit organisations in USA and Canada

Technogym® USA participates in many initiatives in collaboration with research institutes and organisations that aim to promote wellbeing. They have supported YMCA, Augie’s Quest - the association founded by the pioneer of the fitness industry, Augie Nieto, to support ALS research - and contributed to Sick Kids Foundation, an important non-governmental organisation based in Canada that promotes scientific research and activities for improving children’s quality of life in terms of health, education and guardianship.

Other projects supported by fund raising and donations:

• Support to the international non-governmental organisation AVSI in Belo Horizonte (Brazil), where 11 centres house 2,000 children aged between 0 and 14 with social hardships.

• Northern Uganda Emergency, in collaboration with AMREF (African Medical and Research Foundation) to provide vaccines and medical care to child war victims.

• ‘Operation Smile’ in Ethiopia, to finance plastic surgery for serious facial malformations.

• Projects to safeguard children facing abandonment in collaboration with the Friends of the Children Association of Milan both in Italy and abroad.

Physical activity for all with WOW!

‘Wellness on Wheels’ (United Kingdom)

The objectives of WOW are to direct an ever-increasing number of people towards a healthy and active lifestyle, to reach the poorest and most isolated areas and to get the people that don’t normally perform physical activity involved. Technogym® has equipped a travelling gym inside a truck with 16 machines equipped with Wellness System in collaboration with the Wear Valley District (Durham Dales & Valley - UK). The project will run for three years and will provide data to monitor the benefits and improvement achieved by performing physical activity. An evaluation of the most effective programmes will follow, with specific attention to child obesity, diabetes prevention, cardiac and injury rehabilitation. Thanks to Technogym® UK, Sport England, Wear Valley Sport Action Zone and Durham Dales Primary Care Trust more than 1.5 million Euro has been financed for this programme.

Physical activity in hospital (Norway and Denmark)

Radiation and chemotherapy treatments weaken the physical conditions of cancer patients. Norsk Fitness Handel, Technogym’s partner in Norway, supports rehabilitation programmes and helps patients staying at the Norwegian Hospital for the Treatment of Cancer through the installation of machines to enable patients to perform adequate physical activity during treatment and to regain body and mind functionality afterwards.Pedan, Technogym’s partner in Denmark, has equipped a Wellness Centre inside a hospital where cancer patients are treated and research is being carried out to prove the relationship between physical activity and positive reaction to therapies. Pedan has also given a significant contribution to several charity associations and has been acknowledged as one of the best national examples of Corporate Social Responsibility.

Physical Activity for the disabled with the ‘Disability

Access’ (United Kingdom) and ‘Gardens of Wellness -

Hospitality Farm’ (Italy) projects

Technogym® is actively engaged in making physical activity accessible to disabled users, by developing dedicated equipment, programmes and services. To mention a few of the projects under way, we support ‘Disability Access’ in the UK and we equipped a dedicated Wellness Centre within the Hospitality Farm (Diegaro, Cesena - FC). The latter initiative is carried out in collaboration with Cesena ANFFAS Association and with the support of local authorities.

Physical activity for the elderly in Singapore

As the population becomes increasingly older, it becomes important to stay active to maintain quality of life. We can contribute to the prevention and fight against aging illnesses (diabetes, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disorders) by promoting more active lifestyles, as Dynaforce, Technogym’s distributor in Singapore, has done, by installing an Easy Line circuit at Lions Befrienders Association, a recreational centre for senior citizens affected by health disorders and economic difficulties.

Events for the promotion of health in Italy

Between 2005 and 2007 Technogym® has participated in the following projects:• ‘Cesena, a city that walks - Check-up your health’, in collaboration with Cesena town council• ‘World Heart Day’, in collaboration with the Milan Cardiological Research Centre• ‘Health in the Square’, in collaboration with the Milan De Gasperis Foundation• ‘Wellness Week’ in Parma, Italy.

Healthy bodies, healthy minds, healthy planet.

The welfare of the population and that of the planet go hand in hand. In full coherence with its mission of bringing Wellness to the world, Technogym®, puts the health of our planet at the forefront, selecting systems and behaviours that protect the environment and its natural resources.

Our company politics, as much as our individual choices, can make a difference and inspire towards more eco-compatible behaviours.

‘Total Quality drives us; Social Commitment and the safety of our workers guides us; Safeguarding the environment involves us’ is the declaration of intents with which the company accompanies its own Environmental Management System project which together with the Total Quality and Social Responsibility certifications completes the company’s process of certification.

Protecting the environment is something we bear in mind in every process - from production to distribution - and which goes beyond the boundaries of the headquarters to reach our subsidiaries and our distributors, as well as our clients, to whom we offer the possibility of using energy-saving products to create eco-compatible facilities.

In 2003 Technogym® received the UNI ISO 14001 certification according to the international Environmental Management System standard for its two main productive sites: • Via De Gasperi n° 90 - Gambettola (FC) - Italy• Via Pietà n° 96 - Savignano sul Rubicone (FC) - Italy

Our commitment to Wellness is apparent in the attention we pay to the health of the environment, achieved by means of energy-saving initiatives such as recycling materials from all our production sites, reducing waste materials and by employing clean electrical energy, produced by renewable resources.

Since 2003 Technogym® has put in place a number of manufacturing accomodations, in accordance to UNI ISO 14001 certification requirements, primarily aimed at product and process environmental compatibility. The following criteria form the basis of development of Technogym® products during their entire life cycle:

• Use of renewable materialsTechnogym® products are built with highly renewable - more than 95% in weight - materials (plastic and metal). The easy and simple process of disassembly of the components allows us the salvage of secondary raw materials at the end of the lifecycle.

• Reduction/replacement of dangerous, toxic or environmentally unsuitable substances. The Excite™ line uses water-based instead of solvent-based paint and avoids chrome plating. All products sold globally contain electrical and electronic components in full conformity to RoHS directive*.

• Durability and longevityTechnogym® products have a very long average life, enhanced further by the second-hand market. This allows us to reduce raw materials use and product disposal.

• Energy efficiencyWhere possible, Technogym® products are planned using energy efficiency criteria to provide the same performance using less energy: our Excite™ Run professional treadmills use high efficiency motors and inverters with power factor correction system. The Excite™ cardiovascular line features totally self-powered products that self-generate the energy necessary to function (Excite™ SP).

• Re-usable PackagingOur main suppliers deliver re-usable packing material, as they use foldable containers that can be used over and over to reduce the need for new packaging material. We also re-use part of the wood pallets where possible.

• Reducing waste quantity and increasing recyclingWe regenerate the cloths used for cleaning our products and we recycle printer toners, paper, cardboard and wood products. We use only recycled office paper and have been limiting the use of paper to print user manuals, substituting them with digital documents.

• Increasing awareness of the correct environmental behaviour Company culture relating to environment issues influences both behaviour within the company and our external suppliers that work in Technogym® sites.

Products that burn more caloriesand less natural resources.

* RoHS directive:European Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS) requires the substitution in new electrical and electronic equipment of various heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium) and brominated flame retardants (polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), considered to be hazardous for the environment in the final disposal phase.

The production of electricity through fossil fuels is responsible for the largest global emission of greenhouse gas - and carbon dioxide in particular.

Starting from year 2008 Technogym® Spa will use only clean electrical energy, produced by renewable resources, thus contributing to reducing its carbon footprint. This commitment will bring to a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in the range of 1,400.000 kgs per year. For us, environmental stewardship begins at home. Our new headquarters, the Technogym Village, which is currently

under construction - will use innovative solutions to minimise environmental impact while maximising wellness:

• Bio-architecture principles• Solar cell system: the roof has been built to hold a solar

electricity system capable of producing 980 Kw, the total consumption of the Technogym Village. Technical arrangements have been made so that installation will be simple and will not impact on the architecture or the environment.

• High-insulation building materials such as reflective aluminum for the roof and wood for the structure

• A multi boiler ‘Cascade’ centralised heating system with three condensing units to ensure maximum heat efficiency and saving

• Automatic opening and closure of the large windows as the temperature requires to cool the rooms without the use of an air conditioning system

• T5 high-efficiency fluorescent lights that adjust to external light conditions to offer a constant degree of illumination without waste

• Electricity-operated motors and automations and high-efficiency electromechanical systems with inverters

• Low-power consumption PCs (5W instead of 80W each PC) that consume 94% less energy than traditional ones

• Every cubic metre of unearthed soil has been used to create natural soundproofing barriers.

From Brazil to the United States a number of Wellness Centres have shown that it is possible to collaborate for a greener planet and achieve economic and social benefits at the same time. These eco-compatible centres save on electricity and earn in attraction, appealing to users who are careful about environmental sustainability-with some help from Technogym®.

Eco-Fit, Brazil‘Our mission is to improve people’s lives. We cannot detach quality of life from ecology; it is impossible to speak about health if we are not concerned about the environment in which we live. We want to give a good example and show how even a small company can and must do something, not only multinational companies. We should always ask ourselves what inheritance we want to leave our children’ says Toni Gandra, manager of the centre.Eco-Fit defines itself as the ‘only ecologic gym in Brazil’, and this because of the approach adopted in three aspects: architecture, culture and philosophy. Eco-Fit uses rain water, warms the pool with solar energy, uses recycled paper and natural light, implements waste recycling - also for batteries and oil - and uses organic waste as fertiliser. It partners non-governmental bodies and associations such as Greenpeace and Sos Mata Atlântica, it takes on itself to divulge information through brochures and events; and 95% of equipment fitted in the gym’s 3,200 sq.m. - the majority of which is self-powered - is Technogym’s. ‘Our 2,300 members appreciate our philosophy and it attracts media interest’ claims Gandra. ‘The satisfaction of belonging to an ecological project is shared by our members who, like us, believe this is the only way to ensure ourselves a better future.’

Hearst Tower, New York Headquarters of Hearst Corporation, the world-known communication company, Hearst Tower received the Golden Seal for its green initiatives by The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), the classification system for ecologic buildings. The 836 sq.m. of The Club fitness centre, on the 14th floor demonstrates its eco friendly philosophy with its wide windows to let the natural light in, the self-powered Technogym® machines and the use of organic and recycled material. ‘Technogym® equipment plays an important role in the centre’s green philosophy’ says Tom Maraday the senior vice-president of Plus One Health Management that runs the centre. ‘The majority of the equipment is Selection and Excite™ self-powered machines, with the addition of Run treadmills featuring Active Wellness TV, selected because of their energy saving engines. Technogym’s use of recycled plastic materials and non-toxic substances in the production cycle coincides with the Club’s philosophy. Hearst’s staff has embraced ecology and is enthusiastic of the fact that the objectives shared by both the company and the club concerns energy saving and sustainable development’.

Green Wellness centres are good for business and for the environment.

Plant an oak tree with Technogym®

We can do our part for the environment using a bit of fantasy, like AVV Turkey, Technogym’s Turkish distributors: instead of a gadget to wish its clients a happy new year, it planted 45 oak seeds for each client, in ground that will become a forest in time. AVV planted a total of 22,500 seeds: ‘The aim is to make the world a better place to live and to fight global warming’- said Vittorio Zagaia of AVV - ‘We have sent our clients a certificate issued by TEMA (Turkish Association that combats erosion and protects natural beauties), as a statement of Technogym’s commitment to environmental issues’.

TIPS TO MAKE A GREENER FACILITY

• Invest in solar cell power and consider alterative power sources to power your facility, save on electricity and reduce carbon footprint

• Study your layout to make the most of natural sunlight and heat

• Choose floor heating and programme your thermostat for maximum energy saving

• Install high-insulation glass windows to keep heat in and cold out

• Install skylights to gather more natural light and reduce electricity consumption

• Change all light bulbs to the energy saving kind and install motion sensors to light only the rooms that are being used

• Insulate all your water pipes and heaters, install low-flow faucets, showers and toilets and consider using recycled water for watering, laundry and bathroom facilities

• Use ecologic paints that are water-based and free from heavy metals

• Use lime plaster that reduces the risk of mould, allowing the walls to ‘breathe’

• Try natural wood flooring that helps regulate humidity and temperature inside the rooms by absorbing and releasing the water particles in the air

• Have recycling receptacles for paper and plastic

• Use high efficiency exercise equipment

• Look for personal entertainment systems that are only on when the machine is on.

Training within Technogym® is aimed at improving performance and organisational capacities to meet business objectives and to satisfy needs arising from performance evaluation. The latter is assessed using a method that defines objectives and provides qualitative and quantitative parameters for evaluation and by surveys on company organisation.

Training is a personal and professional development process that entails:• generating and reinforcing a person’s awareness of the contribution his/her own work makes to the achievement of the vision• increasing a person’s skill so that he/she might better fill his professional role• supporting the achievement of professional objectives.

The training process is characterised by the following phases:• analysis of learning priorities, on the basis of expected results and position of current responsibility• planning training development taking into account the various training formats like classroom training, coaching, e-learning, training through experience and outdoor training• implementing planned development activities• analysing the effectiveness of training through appraisal by its participants and evaluation of performance by the person in charge of training.

These training processes are implemented following a 360 degree evaluation that aims to support development activities, to evidence organisational needs and to create a transparent and impartial confrontation between head and collaborator to increase awareness and direct development towards the key competences to achieve the company vision and strengthen company culture.

Human Resources trainingand development.

850 suppliers

Technogym® wishes to create partnership relationships with its main suppliers. For this reason the larger purchases are carried out with a limited number of suppliers considered partners. Technogym® shares its business with these companies, constantly stimulating growth and improvement, also by requiring them to share the Social Responsibility commitment.

With the aim of simplifying the relationship with the suppliers and of promoting total quality, Technogym® avails itself of innovative and functional working systems.

Global Supply Chain:The project allows the sharing of expertise relating to the Supply Chain and achieves more efficient and effective activities management of this activity, on behalf of both Technogym® and of its suppliers.

GSCOnline:An electronic platform which enables suppliers real time updating on Technogym’s production plans, and consequently, to programme delivery of Technogym® materials well in advance. Potential suppliers:An electronic database through which it is possible to find out which suppliers have expressed their wish to work with Technogym® by filling in an application form. From this initial contact, Technogym® asks the supplier to share the values of the SA8000 legislation.

The values we share with our suppliers are flexibility, collaboration and competitiveness.
