• An open-ended question requires an answer greater than a single word or two.

• That kind of question will bring a more detailed, thoughtful answer, and you can follow up with another question.

• Allows for a wide-range of responses and give the person a chance to share

• More than just facts. You get thoughts and opinions

• These are what make people unique

• Connect with and understand the person better.

• Questions should be phrased in a way that the other person can express how they truly feel
