Examples

Mohammad Yunus- invented Grameen Bank - a global model of

micro-finance for the poor. He is the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Jimmy Pham – started KOTO in Hanoi (1999). KOTO training

school and training restaurant is a proven evolving model of non traditional pedagogy that stops the cycle of poverty for street and disadvantaged youth.

About CSIP

Established in 2008, CSIP is a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization

Mission: To support Social Entrepreneurs by investing directly in their early stage of development and engaging other stakeholders in promoting social entrepreneurship in Vietnam

2009– 2009 Social Entrepreneurs Support Program

launched in Hanoi and Hochiminh city– 10 SEs with 7 outstanding social projects

selected– Student’s competition on social initiatives for

community development launched in 14 universities
