John Tyler Community College serving the institution in several capacities including as an associate professor of English for fifteen (15) years and then as English Department Chair for five (5) years. Dean Tompkins is relatively new to his position as a Dean at TNCC in that he has been in his current position since July, 2013.

Leadership and Power are inter-related.

Everyone has experienced another person who has influenced our behavior or actions , whether it was a teacher or a coach would be this type of power. The impact or effect may be either negative or positive.
