CSA: HM Carrier Defined
• CSA defines two kinds of carriers as HM Carriers:
– Carriers with a HazMat Safety Permit OR
– Carriers with at least 2 inspections on a vehicle transporting HM requiring placards within the last 24 months and with one of those inspections within the last 12 months AND
– At least 5% of total inspections involve a vehicle transporting HM requiring placards.
