An All-CS8 wide receiver, he has chosen not to play football in college. He will instead compete for Lincoln College's track team with hopes of later transferring to a NCAA Division I school. "I really didn't see myself playing football in college," Bratton said. Expansion At the college level, he expects to expand his repertoire. Bratton ran the 200 occasionally in high school. He recalls running it twice during his senior season. "I'll probably run it in the college so I can get better at the 100," he said. "I wanted to give the 200 a try this year to see what my fastest time would be and see if I could get a decent time, and 22.3 seconds was pretty good." Bratton's personal record in the 100 is 10.57. The winning time set the meet record at the M a r k Twain/Becky Thatcher Relays in April. Marcia Martinez can be reached at 788-1547.
