PREVENT & SUPPORT COLLECT DATA USING MOBILE APPS MOVE TOWARD PRE-ELIMINATION CRS has supported national malaria control programs in scaling up seasonal malaria chemoprevention in Guinea, Mali, Niger and The Gambia. In 2016, 11 million doses were distributed, reaching 2.8 million children. Malaria cases were reduced by 49% in Mali. 23+ million insecticide- treated bed nets distributed by CRS through health ministries in The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Madagascar Niger, and Senegal 60 percent of CRS’ malaria programs use mobile technology to improve speed and accuracy of data collection, enable simple analysis and use of complex data, or increase adherence to malaria treatment guidelines. CRS has supported malaria programming in The Gambia over the last 10 years, which has contributed to a 95% reduction in malaria prevalence from 4% in 2010 to 0.2% in 2014. The Gambia is now a step closer to eliminating malaria. WHAT WE DO TEST, DIAGNOSE & TREAT 2,439 community health workers trained by the Ministry of Health in Guinea, with oversight from CRS, in correct testing, diagnosis, and treatment of malaria.
