Crooked Tree Arts Center’s mission is to inspire and enrich lives through the arts. We promote the arts as an integral part of a healthy culture, providing both intellectual nourishment and social benefit. We believe community-based arts provide significant value both to communities and artists. We work diligently to provide artists with opportunities to showcase their work, for young musicians to learn an instrument and for novices to explore new medias.

D’Art for Art is Crooked Tree Arts Center’s premier fundraising event that has been held each July for the past 16 years. D’Art for Art is unique in that guests leave with an original work of art created by artists of local, regional and national acclaim. The proceeds from D’Art for Art help support the year-round programs of CTAC including exhibitions, classes, school tours and scholarships for youth.

This Year’s Featured Artist Tom Moran’s metal sculpture, Sum of Us, is the first entry in the 2014 Artists Catalog. The remainder of the catalog lists entries alphabetically by artist. We hope you’ll enjoy reviewing the incredible artwork donated by so many talented artists and contributors in the following pages.

Crooked Tree Arts CenterExhibitions

• The arts center’s Edith Gilbert Gallery and Ermy B. and Gordon B. Bonfield Gallery host a variety of exhibits throughout the year.

• Our annual shows include Juried Fine Art, Juried Photography and Youth Art, along with our new variation on the Holiday Market.

• During the Summer of 2014, Crooked Tree Arts Center is hosting Detroit @ CTAC, a Creative Runway, as well as numerous Coffee @ Tens and Summer Lecture Series in Harbor Springs and Charlevoix.

• Other Exhibits for 2014-2015 are Great Lakes Plein Air Painters, Farm to Frame, Winter Paintings by Betty Beebe and Russ Bolt, Lynn Dinning’s Good Hart Glassworks and Salvage/Selvage Fiber Artists.
