AD4.001 SECTION: 01 3119 – PROJECT MEETINGS, paragraph 4.1 ADD the following sentence to the end of the second paragraph of 4.1: “All Primes are advised that, in addition to a prime’s failure to attend the project meetings (contractor progress meetings, superintendent’s meetings, etc.) possibly resulting in the full or partial withholding of certification of payment per Article 9.5.1.7 of the Supplemental Conditions of the Contract, each Prime must have a Schedule of Values line item and dollar amount assigned to Project Meeting Attendance (separate line item from any General Conditions line item should the prime have such a line item), which can billed with each monthly payment application, with the line item dollar amount as negotiated with the rest of the SOV between the prime & the CM at the start of the project. Prime meeting attendance will be tracked throughout the work and the line item may be billed monthly accordingly. Should the prime fail to attend any percent of the project meetings, then a corresponding percentage of the Project Meeting Attendance SOV line item shall be credited back to the Owner via Change Order prior to any retainage reduction or Final Payment.”

AD4.002 SECTION: 01 5000 – TEMPORARY FACILITIES AND CONTROLS REVISE the site access plan for Phase A for reduced amount of stone laydown area. See attached SA Plan A – Revised. ADD the following sentence to paragraph 2.6.2:”Refer to drawing C11.3 for additional traffic control signage at the traffic circle on Underwood Road.”.

AD4.004 SECTION 33 1000 – WATER UTILITIES REVISE paragraph 3.3.B.2 to read as follows: 4 inches to 8 inches PVC C-900, fire hydrant leads shall be class 250 ductile iron pipe, ductile iron compact fittings and mechanical joints with retainer glands.

All photos are professionally edited and uploaded to a portal with a download feature. Will this require re-edits or does the initial editing meet the requirements? Since viewing and downloading is available from the gallery, would we still have to send 5 photos via the FTP and a CD? Can we crop for print without approval on the crop? Or will that need to be a back and forth to approve the crops for printing? Can prints be sent at the completion of the job rather than per job? Is a DVD a requirement? And is that only at the completion of the job? Is this a CD or a slideshow? Refer to 2A scope item #2A-86.

Sheet L3.15 shows "screen fence" along the back of the bleachers and says to see the Civil Plans, but it is not shown on the Civil plans. Is this fence required? If so, what detail is to be used? This fencing is by BP 2B, refer Specification 01 10 10, 2A scope item 2A-98 added by Addendum #1 item AD1.019 and Addendum #2 item AD2.001.

Is the 2A Contractor responsible for the conduit installation? If so, what page is it on in the 2A contractor scope? Do we refer to T0.1 and TY0.1 drawings? Electrical conduit and BGE gas sleeves/conduit are by BP 16A, refer to Specification 01 10 10, 2A scope items 2A-49 and 2A-71. Any conduit required by Specification 32 8400 for the irrigation system is by 2A.

Addendum #2, revised plan sheet C12.1 shows striping in the existing Davidsonville Road. Please confirm there is no requirement to mill and overlay Davidsonville Road. Heavy duty asphalt has been called out for the decel & accel lanes; there is no mill/overlay on Davidsonville Rd. Asphalt tie-in detail along the entire length of the new decel & acel lanes & Davidsonville Rd. has been added/called out. See Addendum #4 sketch SKC.019.

What is the paving spec for the SHA paving area on plan sheet C2.1? SHA paving area to use "Heavy Duty" paving section as shown on SKC-018. Section has been revised to use 3" surface course, 6" base course, & 6" G.A.B.

AD4.020 Question: Response:

Plan sheet L3.5 shows Typical Walls that attach to the building and are stated as "Wall Typ. - See Arch Drawings". What contract is responsible for these walls? The seat walls are by 2A in their entirety as per Specification 01 10 10, 2A scope items 2A-62 and 2A-63. The seat wall go under the "bridges" that link the two building sections as noted on L3.5, also refer to the elevation provided on drawing L3.7 for a clear view of the bridges with the seat walls running underneath of them.

Will the building trade contract be required to export foundation and utility spoils or will these spoils remain on site? Yes the other trades are responsible for their own spoils, refer to Specification 01 10 10, Part 1 General scope item G28 and 2A scope item 2A-41.

AD4.022 Question: Response:

Addendum 2 response to AD1.043 confirms that the entire Phase 1 portion of the site is to be completely covered in 4" of #57 stone and is to be used as laydown. Is this correct? 25 acres? 24,000 Tons of stone? Seems excessive. Who will be responsible for the replacement and maintenance of the extensive laydown area(s)? Who will be responsible to manage each Prime as they distribute their stored materials? What happens when utilities need to be installed through a stoned laydown area? Is it necessary to stone the ballfields for laydown? Why not just use one or all the very large Light Duty Parking Lots for staging? Upon reconsideration, we will reduce the amount of temporary stone laydown as shown on the revised access plan for Phase 1 (A), refer to Specification Revision AD4.002 (above). This response supersedes the previous response per Addendum #2 item AD2.043. We must stress that the Sediment Control District requires that all areas be stabilized with stone, topsoil/seed, or permanent finishes before building footings are allowed to start, with all of these options having serious cost and/or schedule implications, we are choosing to cover as much of the site as possible with stone to in an attempt to mitigate any potential sediment control related stop work orders. 2A will be solely responsible to ensure that the reduced stone laydown area is “stabilized” at all times. As a reminder, NO STONE is required or allowed on top of all SWM facilities, which make up a significant amount of the overall acreage shown on the site access plans for the laydown/temp lot areas, which show stone over the SWM areas for the sake of clarity. Refer to Specification 01 10 10 2A Scope item 2A-44 for 2A's maintenance responsibilities of the temporary roads and lots. In regards to other BP's installing their utilities through the temporary roads and lots, refer to Specification 01 1010, Part 1, item G28.

Scope item 2A-36 call for undercut of Area A and B building noting to stockpile the material and place back into the undercut hole. This also states that if the quantity should be less, then the 2A contractor shall credit back the quantity based on unit price 2A-01. Unit Price 2A-01 states to include hauling and lawful disposal of all resultant spoils. Is unit price 2A-01 stating that the spoils are to be hauled offsite? If so, this would not match the direction of scope Item 2A-36 Please clarify. Yes, Allowance 2A-01 does say to export unsuitable soil spoils. Scope item 2A-36 does not say “not” to export unsuitable soils as per the allowance unit rate.
