The challenge: Consolidating multiple ecommerce platforms Prior to partnering with Adyen, Crocs already had an established global ecommerce presence. However, as it expanded, managing multiple platforms across global markets became costly and inefficient. In a move to streamline its payments-related processes and improve the shopper experience, the company consolidated its ecommerce website onto a single platform. Crocs chose Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formally Demandware) to provide a service that would enable it to develop and manage its ecommerce websites centrally. Initially the Commerce Cloud implementation was rolled out alongside Crocs’ legacy payment processors. However issues arose as providers in some markets were unable to keep pace with the required level of innovation and customer-centricity.
