Full day excursion (Transfer, guide, entrance)

The old part of Split (Spalatum) was built in and around the palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian who had it built in the beginning of the 4th century, not far away from his birthplace, the Roman colony of Salona. We will visit the Palace, Cathedral of St. Duje, Church of St. Martin, The Peristyle, and the National Square which is surrounded by many famous palaces. There will be enough time for lunch or strolling along the promenade of Split harbor. Soon afterwards we depart for Trogir. Further in the program we will enjoy the sightseeing of this charming old town, and an introduction to its historical and cultural background.

ŠIBENIK SIGHTSEEING

The ancient city of Sebenico offers and insight into, as we like to say in Croatia, ‘the Mediterranean as it once was.’ Šibenik is a city adorned with 24 churches, 4 historic strongholds, and 2851 ancient stone steps. We will venture into Šibenik’s old town center with a city guide, making stops at the Cathedral of St. Jacob, the Bishop’s palace, the monument to Juraj Dalmatinac (the celebrated 15 century mason), City Hall, all the while traversing the ancient stone streets. Sightseeing usually lasts around 2 hours.

KRAPANJ ISLAND – PRIMOŠTEN TOWN

This full day boat excursion will take you around Krapanj Island and the town of Primošten. Krapanj is known for its unspoiled nature and a small, romantic settlement. The island has a history of wine, olive oil and sea sponge production, well documented in the local museum. Primošten, located on the shoreline, southward from Krapanj Island, is a very attractive micro destination. A typical Dalmatian town, Primošten is well known for its local wine, Babić, and the many olive trees that nourished the local population during times of need in its long history. All along the way the guide will dispense their vast knowledge of regional history, culture and customs. The lunch will be served on the boat. You will have plenty of time for swimming and relaxation.

SAILING REGATTE TO HVAR

Taste the magic of sailing without the need to rent a boat for a week or to collect the crew. We will provide you with a daily adventure of exploring the archipelago in the vicinity of the beautiful island of Hvar. Learn to sail from an experienced skipper, and find your own hidden beach. Having sailing experience is not necessary. The boats can accommodate 4 people. All you need is swimsuit, a hat (to protect you from the hot Dalmatian sun), sunglasses, and a sweater. Water, food and snacks of your choice will be provided on the boat. We will disembark in the town of Hvar, the island’s main settlement. Historical monuments are abundant in the ancient town. We will visit the 16th century theatre, and the 13th century Arsenal. We will walk through airy squares surrounded by numerous churches and palaces in different architectural styles. The Franciscan monastery in the town is known for its collection of the works of old masters, including the Last Supper by Matteo Ingoli.

DALMATIAN VILLAGE PARTY

Every country has its customs and folklore. In their authentic form, Dalmatian local customs can still be found in the countryside. The old folk songs and dances are still practiced, and performed on various occasions. The food is traditionally prepared, of course. In a little village, far from the crowd and good roads Village party is organized for our clients. Food and drinks (wine) that they offer to the guests were grown on their own farm. They serve it themselves and they prepare a folklore program with songs and dances. They will invite you to join them.

STINIVA BAY BY BOAT – ISLAND OF VIS

The narrowly enclosed Stiniva cove is very appealing due to its unusual appearance. Its external sea entrance is relatively narrow (4-5 meters) which then expands into an unexpectedly wide and beautiful seaside cove. In the past, the coastal estuary may have been a sea cave whose highest point wore away with time and other natural elements. We would arrive to the cove from the seaside via speedboat. The boat will be anchored outside the cove while the group enjoys the relaxing athmosphere of the beach. The inviting bay can be approached on foot. With no automobile access, the cove’s natural beauty has been preserved for posterity. A walking trail will lead you slowly down the hillside to the inviting lagoon-like cove below. The descending walk to the coast may look steep or difficult, but it’s not. Bring tennis shoes, and make your way down. Once you get started, you will see that the half hour walk was worth the effort. There’s a small bar in the bay, ideal for enjoying refreshments in the shade. It is best to visit Stiniva Cove in the morning hours when there is plenty of sun. The fresh appearance of the blue-green sea beside the white cliffs is nothing short of magical.

ZADAR SIGTHSEEING

Zadar, today the cultural and economic center of Northern Dalmatia, has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. In the 4th century B.C. it was known under the Illyrian name of Idasse, then in the time of Octavian, as Iader a Roman colony, after which the city was called Zara. The city tour includes a visit to the Cathedral of St. Stošija (St. Anastasia) constructed around 1285 A.D., where paintings of Carpaccio and Palma Jr. are exhibited. We will also visit the Roman forum, the pre- Romanesque church of St. Donat constructed during the 9th century A.D., the city gate, the Square of Wells, the church of St. Simon, and the National Square along with the municipal Loggia.

NATIONAL PARK KORNATI ISLANDS BY BOAT

The Kornati Islands are THE island paradise, an archipelago with the highest island density in the entire Mediterranean. The National park is exceptional because, with its raw beauty, it remained intact during the modern development efforts in the region. They are situated in the middle part of the Croatian Adriatic, near the island of Murter. Beacuse of their exceptional beauty, the preserved nature and rich maritime ecosystem, a large part of the Kornati Islands was given national park status. Kornati excursions from Murter Island are especially interesting because Murter, with its position represents the closest spot to the National Park. That position provides a quality excursion on which people spend more time bathing and sightseeing, and less time driving. Murter is also called the capital of Kornati, because its inhabitants are the owners of almost every islands of the Kornati archipelago. We offer you various boats with different routes of excursions to Kornati. During the tourist season (June to August) all boats make excursions every day in the week.

NATIONAL PARK KRKA WATERFALLS

After a pleasant ride we arrive to the Krka National Park. We will visit the unforgettable cataract of Skradinski Buk, famous for its mills and stamping-mills, which are of exceptional culturally- historical importance. Due to its specific position and various types of habitats, the region of the Krka River is distinguished by an exceptional wealth of flora and fauna, ranking it among the most valuable regions in Croatia and Europe. Swimming is possible only at marked places, where it is allowed.

JEEP SAFARI - VELEBIT

Land Rover Defender jeeps are waiting for you in Starigrad Paklenica. After meeting the drivers we set off to the Canyon of Zrmanja River. We drive to the site where the movie Winetou was filmed, and from there we can enjoy a beautiful view of the Zrmanja River. The wriggling river and the 400 meters deep canyon that enters the Adriatic Sea are a breathtaking sight. After enjoying the view, it’s time for the morning coffee or a soda on our half-hour brake and after that we drive through the South Velebit mountain range to a large valley. We stop in the valley and walk for half an hour to the 260 meters deep pit called Mamut. After that we go back to the valley to have lunch. After lunch we continue the drive and cross over to the north side of Velebit, we drive for an hour and a half to the Alan pass which offers a magnificent view on the Velebit channel. During the summer we visit the Zrmanja waterfalls for an enjoyable and refreshing swim.

EXCURSION BY CABLE CAR WITH PANORAMA OF OLD TOWN + VILLAGE DINNER

Be amazed with the breathtaking views of the Old City of Dubrovnik, the crystal clear Adriatic Sea, and the numerous islands in the background. Enjoy all the comforts of our facilities. Have a drink, snack or a meal at the snack bar or in the restaurant overlooking the Old City. Stroll around the souvenir shop and take something home to remind you of your trip. History: The best views of Dubrovnik and the surrounding area are, without doubt, experienced from the top of the Srđ Hill. The Dubrovnik Cable Car was built back in 1969, and was always enthusiastically used by more than 2.5 million visitors who wanted to enjoy the most beautiful panoramic views. On a clear day, you can see up to 60 km (37 miles). For this reason the neighbouring Imperial Fortress was strategically built on this privileged spot, back in the early 19th century.

This cruise takes us to the three largest islands in the Elaphiti archipelago: Koločep, Šipan and Lopud. Ruins of the summer residences of former patrician families are scattered along the island´s woodland slopes. RIVIERA CRUISE – LOKRUM ISLAND, CAVTAT + LUNCH / DINNER AT KONAVOSKI DVORI

Half day tour

Leaving the old city harbor, we sail towards the Island of Lokrum, a beautiful nature preserve. A pleasant walk through the dense pinewood forest will bring us to the 11th century Benedictine monastery. We then continue sailing to the town of Cavtat where the valuable Bogišić family collection is housed in Cavtat´s town center. You can also visit the Franciscan monastery or walk to the mausoleum of the Račić family to view the sculptures of the famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović.

TRSTENO-STON Half day excursion

The Arboretum at Trsteno will delight you with its exotic vegetation, such as the giant plane trees, palms and camphor trees. After a leisurely stroll through the botanical garden, we depart for Ston, which was among the first towns in Europe to be built according to a definite urban plan. Hundreds of visitors are attracted to the 5 kilometers long stonewalls protecting. Other attractions include the old Saltpan where salt is still being produced, and the famous oyster and mussel farm. After sightseeing, a small oyster snack will be served in a Dalmatian cellar.

JEEP SAFARI AND LUNCH /DINNER IN KONAVLE VILLAGE

This excursion offers you a unique opportunity to see the spectacular scenery of the Konavle valley from a completely different perspective. Driving with our high quality jeeps, you will have the chance to get in touch with the nature in your own way. Our drive through the valley will first take us to the viewpoint of Velji Do which offers a magnificent view of the valley and the Adriatic coast. After descending back to the valley, lunch will be served in an old mill, typical for the region. After lunch the drive continues through the valley before reaching the charming seaside village of Molunat, which is the southernmost settlement on the Adriatic coast. After visiting Molunat, dinner will be served in a characteristic wine cellar. The menu will consist of traditionally prepared lamb and potatoes, and homemade vegetables. The entire course will be prepared ‘under peka,’ an iron dome featured prominently in Croatian regional cuisine.

NERETVA RIVER DELTA

A combination of historical heritage and natural beauty, the Neretva River Delta is a vast marshland area abundant in flora and fauna, sheltering hundreds of species of birdlife. Cruise in small boats called Trupice - through the canal to enjoy the beauty and variety of the delta. Visit the Ornithological Collection in the town of Metković, which preserves 229 exhibits of bird species. Visit the excavation of ancient the ancient town of Narona (today, the town of Vid) from the 1 century where ramparts, temples, and a forum have been covered by the mud from the river for centuries. Light sportswear is recommended. The Neretva River Delta is well known as a fertile area for growing tangerines. All participants can be involved in tangerines picking (season: Aug, Sep, Dec).
