Critical Connections: Multilingual Digital Storytelling Conference Department of Educational Studies, Goldsmiths Friday 16 May (9.45–4.00) http://goldsmithsmdst.wordpress.com/ The Critical Connections: Multilingual Digital Storytelling Project (2012-2014), funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, examines the potential of multilingual digital storytelling: to engage and challenge students; to enhance language and literacy skills; to develop creative and critical thinking; to build intercultural understanding and prepare young people for active citizenship Researchers at Goldsmiths have been working with teachers of Arabic, Croatian, English, English as a second/foreign language, French, German, Greek and Mandarin at complementary and mainstream schools in and around London as well as in Algeria, Palestine and Taiwan. The conference, which will examine key findings from the project, will include presentations and contributions from members of the research team and lead teachers in the project. There is no fee for attending this conference. However, places are limited so you are advised to apply early.
