2. In todays world, studies are the biggest competition in the life. Education is Preparing a person to face everyday life. Education today doesnt prepare one for the normal problems faced by a person in life. Our education system has to change fully, and only teach what is necessary best for us. 3. Education: Increase in the stocks of skill, knowledge and understanding possessed by individual or society OR Education is an uncontested acceptance of knowledge. 3 4. The proper definition of education is the process of becoming an educated person. Being an educated person means you have access to optimal states of mind regardless of the situation you are in. 4 5. Todays education produces only money making machines. We are imparting theoretical knowledge based education. I think life without education is a waste. It is worthless, In todays world. We have to make the children more aware on socialness. 6. Curriculum, syllabus, planning, policy, centers of excellence, standard of education & Islamic education 6 7. Educational system is a systematic process of establishing the pillar of society. The word Examination conjures up an image of fear and dread. Examinations are competitive tests in which each student rise to surpass his rival & and manage the time according to the duration of the system. 7 8. There are two types of Educational system. 1) Semester System 2) Annual System. 8 9. Keeping your Grades up can be vital to your academic success. These Grading System are of two type:- 1. Grade Point Average (G.P.A) 2. Percentage Evaluation. 9 10. The Grade Point Average (G.P.A) is further classified as:- 1- Absolute Grading System 2- Relative Grading System The absolute system allows student to have its own individual assessment of their hard work as far as relative grading is concern relative grading allows for screening students according to their performance relative to their peers. In relative grading a histogram of total marks obtained by all students is taken and ranges for assigning various grades are decided for awarding the grades. These ranges for assigning grades are based on upper limit of percentage of students in a course that can have a particular grade. 10 11. 11 12. Before hand to understand this concept following should be kept aside Moral Ethics Caliper of Students Management 14 15. Semester System Annual System Merits:- 1. Degree is completed in 4 years 2. More pressure more work 3. Continuous evaluation of student 4. Concentration on less number of subjects in a semester 5. Punctuality 6. Class Participation Merits:- 1. Long term memorization 2. Better evaluation (through externals) 3. Better grading system 4. Innovation take part 5. In depth knowledge 6. Lesser study burden 7. More learning Chances 15 16. Semester System Annual System Demerits:- 1. Fast course completion like fast food 2. Specified Knowledge 3. Favoritism 4. GPA crazy people 5. No long term memory 6. No innovation 7. Supply clearance is longer Demerits:- 1. Degree completion in more than 4 years 2. Continuous evaluation is not there 3. Punctuality 4. Less class participation 5. Less personality grooming 16 17. The semester system is quite different from the annual system Both in the grading policy and the way material is presented for consumption. A week is a unit of the semester system. Unlike the annual system, where the final examination is the only test of the learning throughout the year, every Assignment, Quiz, Midterm counts towards determining your grade in the semester system. The final examination is still the largest single contributor to the course distribution, but not the only one. In this way, you have to be on your toes throughout the semester in order to get a good grade. Semester system is tougher than the annual system. 18 19.
