GFF Architects has continued to work closely with The Container Store retailer over the past 15 years. I came on board during the summer of 2013, where I have been contributing to our role of designing and prototype development functions in addition to production and construction administration. I coordinated with TCS team, structural and MEP/F consultants on a regular basis.

Majority of the stores are interior tenant improvements; however occasionally we are involved with ground-up stores. All our projects are established in AutoCAD. TCS of the Tucson Mall has been a project that I worked very close with. It was originally a ‘Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill’, therefore I had to draft demolition plans and elevations in addition to TCS’s anticipated design.

It was my rst project I took responsibility over submittals and RFI coordination with the general contractor.

The Container Store in Farmers Market of Los Angeles, CA was also a interior tenant improvement store. It was originally a ‘Children’s Place’. Furthermore, this was a store that I worked from preliminary block plan stages through some construction administration.

One of my roles working on this project was to coordinate with a given survey of the existing building and generate building sections. Not every store can be the ideal rectilinear layout due to previous existing construction. However, it is a great challenge to work with the client for their ultimate layout through both architectural and interior design.

Student Works - SCADConstructive Fashion Thesis ProjectI have always been interested in multidisciplinary ideas and collaborations. Thus, by thesis year I really focused on experimenting with the relationship between fashion, bers and architecture.

Ultimately, I designed a collaborative hub for emerging fashion designers in New York City. This facility would provide supportive spaces for the designers to design, construct and showcase their fashion collections. The interior architecture of the exhibition spaces would be heavily in uenced by their designs and physically de ne their fashion concepts.

Concurring with thesis studio, I explored a textile class, where I wove a nal fabric piece that became the skin of the building.

During this collaboration, I worked closely with a senior Fashion Design student and designed her a agship store in New York City.

I was strongly in uenced by the ‘vertex’ fashion concept and how my fashion design partner applied it in her designs. My study of the fashion vertex concept helped in uence the architecture.

The characteristics of the concept were highlighted over both fashion and architecture designs - pink de ning waistlines or the structure, green as the triangular in uence or the building’s skin and blue pointing out the detailing such as top-stitching or fenestration - in the architectural sense.

I was able to relate the concept in neighboring facades, thus ultimately helped de ne the overall architecture of the agship store.

Student Works - SCADRobert Kennedy Building Renovation ProjectThis project was to focus on hand-drafting skills. Fortunately for many of the historic buildings of Savannah, Georgia, preservation is important. The Robert Kennedy building, built in 1890, is a key example of an historic building being renovated. It was primarily a drug store back in the nineteen hundreds.

Through a team effort, my partner and I took eld measurements of the exterior and interior. Through this hands-on experience, I developed strong understanding of building construction and appreciation over old and new usage for such a building.

Ultimately, we designed a two bedroom apartment that would take up the entire second oor.

All drawings were hand-drafted using ink on mylar.

IIDA DFW City Center’s CRE8 Design Challenge. The hardworking team of ve, was one of twenty interior design rms that took on the challenge to create a garment in just 8 days inspired by this year’s theme, Super Heroes. Each Super Hero was paired with two design teams to represent the past version and futuristic version of each hero to battle down the runway, and we selected Captain America Post 2075.

Every team was required to utilize at least 50% of industry products (1 soft and 1 hard good) provided by assigned local vendors for their design to blur the lines between fashion and interior design. Our garment showcases Suzanne Tick Collection of upholstery fabrics by Teknion and Kinetex Textile Composite Flooring by J+J Invision, plus a surprise unique LED accessory.

Designing fashion and sewing has been my favorite hobby since I was 10 years old. I currently love to sketch fashion illustration and sew my own clothes. I also love, knit, and sew as much as I can. I thoroughly enjoy conceptualizing, designing and executing a nal garment, accessories or artwork.

I spent time learning Revit and 3ds Max programs by designing small interior residential spaces. All furniture items were downloaded through Archive3D.net.
