under the direction of Dr. Mandy 

Downie and Dr. Darcie Weglo. Both

are native Okanagan residents, and

are thrilled to be back home serving 

the community of Vernon, BC.

If you are an existing patient of the

clinic and were under the care of Dr.

Cheryl Kalashnikoff, please feel free

to call in or drop by to meet the new 

doctors. Both Dr. Downie and Dr.

 Weglo had a great experience

observing with Dr. Kalashnikoff 

 before she left the practice, and

therefore feel very prepared to meet

past patients’ needs. Along with the

treatments that were previously offered to patients, the new 

chiropractors have additional

training in a wide variety of soft

tissue and adjustive techniques to

truly personalize patient-care.

Our Chiropractors• • •

Our Chiropractors are both young,

approachable practitioners who have

 been educated with the most recent

evidenced based medical and

chiropractic standards of health care.

Both grew up in the Okanagan Valley 

and are excited to be back serving the

community of Vernon! Both female

Chiropractors are dedicated to

 working with other health care

professionals in order to best serve

their patients. Dr. Downie and Dr.

 Weglo practice Diversified Technique

 which includes spinal and extremity 

manipulation, with a variety of 

adjusting techniques. Both have had

additional training in soft tissue

therapies including Active Release

Technique®, Graston Therapy®, and

Functional Anatomical Palpation and

Rehabilitation.

DR. MANDY DOWNIE, B.SC., DC

Dr. Downie is Kelowna born and

raised. Growing up, she excelled in

many sports including baseball,

 volleyball, and skiing and continues

her active lifestyle today.

Mandy completed her undergraduate

degree in Kinesiology at the

University of Victoria and graduated with her doctorate degree in

chiropractic from the Canadian

Memorial Chiropractic College in

Toronto.

Dr. Downie believes that achieving 

the best results for her patients

involves establishing a partnership

 where the practitioner and the

patient work together in achieving 

successful outcomes and a healthy 

lifestyle.

DR. DARCIE WEGLO, B.SC., DC

Dr. Weglo grew up in Vernon and is

thrilled to be home after many years

away pursuing her education.

Darcie graduated from the

University of British Columbia in

 Vancouver with a bachelor of 

science degree. She then went on

to complete her doctorate degree

of chiropractic at the Canadian

Memorial Chiropractic College in

Toronto.During her education, Dr. Weglo

has had the great fortune to

 work with experts in sports

chiropractic, radiology, foot and

gait specialists, geriatrics,

female care and family practice.

She looks forward to applying 

these skills while working with

patients of all ages.
