Credit crunch feature

Work experience at the Argus was an incredibly fertile time. Ben Salisbury and me were there together (the week before Christmas) and we were asked to do this feature. We spent an entire day speaking to business owners in Hove, Haywards Heath, Worthing, and a couple of other far-flung towns in the county. It was a freezing cold day and the heater wasn't working in Ben's car! But we found people to be very willing to talk about the state of business at a time when things were just starting to turn sour on the high street. The next day was spent writing up our findings, and the deputy editors were pleased with the result.
