The donor named awards will remain in place for the duration of the program,

and the donor will be invited to present the award in the years in which it is given.

Leadership Development

Enhances the capacity of each

participating company’s leadership

including professional management

and board governance.

Number of Donors: 2

Dollar Amount: $150,000

Strategic Planning

Assists each participating company in

developing a realistic long-term strategic

plan (including a deficit reduction plan

if necessary).

Number of Donors: 3

Dollar Amount: $100,000

Development Program

Assists each company with stewardship,

fundraising strategies and research

activities.

Number of Donors: 4

Dollar Amount: $75,000

Working Cap ital Awards

Rewards participating companies with

annual grants of working capital as each

succeeds in achieving its work plan goals.

Number of Donors: 20

Dollar Amount: $50,000

Financial Balance Program

Helps each participating company

define the relationship between what it

is attempting to do artistically, program-

matically, and operationally with its

available financial and human resources.

Number of Donors: 6

Dollar Amount: $35,000

Skills Development Program

Provides participating companies with

special assistance in developing new

knowledge and skills such as financial

management, systems development,

marketing, human resources and

management; and developing new,

more effective ways of working.

Number of Donors: 10

Dollar Amount: $25,000

Outreach Program

Assists in broadening the reach of the

Working Capital for the Arts program

beyond the twenty-five core participants

to include smaller, culturally and

geographically diverse performing

arts companies.

Donor: Generously supported by the

Harbinger Foundation.

CREATIVE TRUST INVITES SUPPORT THROUGH PARTICIPATION IN DIFFERENT

FACETS OF THE WORKING CAPITAL FOR THE ARTS PROGRAM . WE WILL

RECOGNIZE THE SUPPORT BY OFFERING NAM ING RIGHTS IN ASSOCIATION

WITH PROGRAM S AND AWARDS.

RECOGNITION PROGRAM

DONORRECOGNITIONEVENTSDonors will be invited to an annual

performance and reception hosted

by one of the companies. It will give

recognition to supportersand provide

an opportunity for donors to meet

with the artists, as well as to witness

the scope and creativity of the mid-

size music, dance, and theatre sectors.

EDUCATIONALSUPPORTAsan alternative to complimentary

performance tickets for use by

donors, Creative Trust offers an

equivalent number of complimentary

ticketsgiven on behalf of the donor

to local students of music, dance,

and theatre. Donorswill be credited

as the patrons of these tickets as

part of Creative Trust’s Education

Outreach Program.

BROADENINGCREATIVE HORIZONS:AN INVITATION FOREM PLOYEEPARTICIPATIONCreative Trust offersmajor corporate

donorsan opportunity to share their

investment in Creative Trust with

their Toronto staff. Employees

interested in experiencing many

of Toronto’s finest music, dance

and theatre companies will be able

to purchase half price tickets to a

variety of wonderful performances

by the companies.

IN ADDITION TO WEB- AND PRINT-

BASED RECOGNITION, SUPPORTERS

WILL BE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE

IN THE FOLLOWING CREATIVE TRUST

PROGRAM S:

Creative Trust’s goal is to raise

$6.1 million to fund the six year

Working Capital for the Arts program.

The campaign calls for a private/

pub lic partnership , w ith support

from the federal, p rovincial, and

municipal governments matched by

private foundations, corporations,

and ind ividuals. Working Capital for

the Arts has attracted strong initial

funding support, getting the program

off to a strong start. We must now

secure the remaining portion of

the $3.05 million in private-sector

fund ing. We are counting on your

support, and the support of Toronto’s

business and philanthrop ic com-

munity, to help us reach our target.
