Get ready for the Creative Thailand Symposium as all eyes are looking to creativity as the key factor to set the next big step for Thailand in motion. Creative thinkers and designers from various fields and locations throughout the world have been invited to come and share their ideas regarding how creativity can drive business, foster growth and encourage progress.
During the current time of economic change, many countries are seeking out, developing and working towards achieving a ‘New Economy Model’ in order to promote sustainable growth in the upcoming 21st century. In the United States, such a new economic model called ‘A Nation of Makers’ has been employed whereas in England ‘Design of Innovation’ is the focus. In China we see ‘Made in China 2025’, in India, ‘Make in India’ and even in South Korea ‘Creative Economy’ has been deemed the business model.
In the case of Thailand and under the policy of ‘Thailand 4.0’, we’re still seeking a ‘New Engine of Growth’, a new catalyst that will enable and encourage the development of our country in a sustainable way through the use of two ‘comparative advantages’ – relating to both ecological and cultural diversity as competitive advantages.

As the world and Thailand enter into an Aging Society, the number of the country’s senior population is expected to reach 14.4% in 2020, causing the nation to officially fall within the category of a complete aging society. This particular group of consumers further comes with high purchase and negotiation power due to their lifetime savings that provide high consumption potential, as well as new business opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Social enterprises and entrepreneurs have collectively become a rising trend, especially in terms of new businesses that aim to not only generate profit, but also bring about happiness for people and the society in general. Business ventures embarked upon in the current day and age are often developed with socially responsible intentions, including viral clips whose goals are to raise awareness and influence the attitudes of consumers through products designed with great attention being given to not only the details, but also users’ feelings.
