To think creatively and expand the knowledge.

It is a necessity!

We can’t think out of our minds.

The boundary lies in what we know and what we have thought about.

So what exactly is out of the box thinking?

Something wrongSomething absurdSomething irrelevantSomething beyond convergent information......Something which takes us far!

But how to start?

Start with the convergent information.

Apply a divergent modifier.

Exaggerate and then check for feasibility.

What builds the thinking?

• Start with initial conditions• Boundary conditions of the problem

(Constraints)• Indirect experiences – Second hand• Direct experiences – First hand

How does one assess the value of a new idea?

• Match between new idea and the initial focus.

• Evaluate new idea per se – Serendipity!

Always resist the temptation to go inside the box

Conducive for such thinking?

• If the environment doesn't punish such mistakes.

• Stimulate thoughts and allowing mix and match.

• Aids generation of new flow of ideas.
