You can combine these products you can create still, flowing or falling water. For larger projects Solid Water creates crystal clear, hard and durable water effects. This low odour 2 part resin creates the illusion of deep water in minimal thickness when used for still water lakes. It can also be used for casting windows. Scenic Water is ideal for use in closed containers such as sinks, glass jars or small ponds and is very easy to use. Place the open container in a bowl of hot water (60˚C) and let it melt, then pour directly from the pot. Scenic Water can be remelted and is water soluble so can be washed away. Making Waves is a specially formulated, odourless, clear setting resin that is designed to hold its shape even on vertical surfaces. Thus it can be used to form waves, texture water surfaces to make ripples, waves and even waterfalls. It is ideal to use with a Solid Water base. WOODLAND SCENICS WATER SYSTEM
A range of Water Effects products from Woodland Scenics for modelling anything from puddles & ripples to oceans and rolling waves in every variety of transparency.
E-Z Water is easy to use and is good for deep, single pours. No measuring (FT30007)or mixing required, just heat and pour to form ponds, streams, rivers and harbours. This non-toxic, low-odour product that hardens in minutes and can be reheated to shape ripples, waves, rapids and to remove any scratches.
Realistic Water models(FT30008) still or slow-moving water, such as ponds, rivers and lakes. No mixing is required – pour straight from the bottle. Build up in 3mm layers if deeper water is required, allowing to dry between layers.
Deep Pour Water is available as Clear or Murky you can (FT30009) (FT30010)model any aquatic ecosystem, submerge details and go from shallow to deep in just one pour. It dries hard, won't crack, is non shrinking and will not discolour.
Water Effects is used to model fast-moving water features, such as (FT30011)waterfalls, rapids, waves or churning water. It's great for winter effects like icicles and other ice-like features. Add on top of cured Deep Pour Water to Realistic Water or model moving water – shape with a brush, cocktail stick or mixing stick.
Water Ripples to model ripples and windswept surfaces. Apply to cured (FT30012)water products. It goes on clear, dries clear but can be customised with Water Tints. You can build to the desired finish by applying subsequent layers (allow each to fully dry before applying the next).
Making Waves is suitable to create water with a lot of movement (Water (FT30013)Effects more suitable for waterfalls). Also suitable for collage and fine art creations due to its high viscosity. It's clear from the pot, dries clear and will not discolour with age.
White Water Highlight is used to intensify water crests, rapids, and (FT30014)waterfalls. The look of foamy or frothy water can be created when added to Surface
Water or Deep Pour Water. For water with a small amount of disturbance use a dry-brush technique so the result is not solid colour. Use a pointed brush for areas with a bit more disturbance and drops applied with a cocktail stick for areas of maximum disturbance. Maximum realism is achieved with a combination of the three application techniques.
Water Tints offer a variety of shades that can be added to your water effects to create any (FT31519-25)type of water. Add up to 8 drops per 29ml (1 fl oz) to attain desired shade.
Water Undercoat is used to colour the base of the water feature. Paint on a light shade near (FT31530-35)the edge of a stream or beach and a darker shade or shades in the middle to give an illusion of depth, stipple at the edge, brush on liberally elsewhere to cover all the base. Colours may be blended together.

GLOSS GEL MEDIUM
This transparent gloss Gel Medium is an artist's medium for (FT30006)adding bulk to acrylic paints. Apply to clear plastic sheet and create ripples using a piece of card or wooden rod. A small amount of acrylic paint can be added if you wish to tint the water area.
Edges can be masked with rocks or planted landscaping for informal areas of water, or paving for formal constructions such as swimming pools. This method is particularly useful if you wish to show planting under the water surface, as there will be no chemical reaction or distortion, such as might be Cexperienced if embedding in resin. The medium is white and dries clear.

SHEET EFFECTS
Aqua Liquid Illusion Film is a holographic flexible sheet that (RO52002)creates a pattern of absorption and reflection of light that can be used as an effective water effect, especially useful for depicting swimming pools. Heki Water Effect plastic sheet has been produced to imitate (RD70073)lakes at 1:76/87. Faller Water Effect has been produced to (RD70069)imitate lakes at 1:76 and 1:87 scale.
Polypropylene Frosted Sheet has a frosted / transluscent (RS50022)appearance - matt on one side, satin on other and can be used to represent a flat surface of water.
Mirror 'Liquid' effect styrene is a 1mm laminated styrene that can be used to give a stylized water (RR00037)effect, perhaps on a schematic architectural model.
The transparent sheets can be layered together with coloured sheets to build up the desired effect (we used green felt under Illusion film in our Jaws diorama).
ENCAPSO K
Encapso K is a water clear encapsulation rubber that looks just (CS10002)like water and is ideal for a variety of encapsulation and display applications. Two parts are mixed together then poured around or over an object. Mixture turns from liquid to a solid, soft rubber overnight. When cured, Encapso K looks just like water and will last a long time.
Encapso K can be used to create water/pond effects for small scale model environments. Perfect for encapsulating artificial flower stems for creating lasting floral displays. Fully cured Encapso K can also be crumbled to look like broken glass, diamonds or ice.
