Creating Name Ranges and Creating Scenario

First we select E22:E26Second we select key

Prices in the name box

Third we press the Enter Key the cells are now named Prices

First we select G14:G18Second we select key

DollarSales in the name box

Third we press the Enter Key the cells are now named DollarSales

Naming G14:G18 DollarSales

First we select G19Second we key

TotalSales in the name box

Third we press the Enter Key the cells are now named TotalSales

Naming G19 TotalSales

Click / press Create from Selection use the left column to create Range Names Automatically.

Select D22:D26.

From the Formula Tab

Click / press Create from Selection

Select D22:D26.

From the Formula Tab

Check the Left Column column to create Range Names Automatically.

Named Ranges are created.

Under the Data Tab

In the Data Tools group

Select What-If-Analysis

Select Scenario Manager…

Scenario Manager opensSelect Add

Under Scenario name enter: Current Prices

Select Prices Select OK

Press F3 the Paste Name dialog box opens.

In the comment section add This Scenario shows sales at current prices.

The Scenario Values dialog box opensSince we do not want to change the prices on the Current Prices we will just select OK.

With the Scenario Manager dialog box open.We select Add

With the Add Scenario dialog box open.In the Scenario Name: We Key Reduced Prices

We select OK

We Tab to Changing Cells We notice that E22:26 are selected which is what we Want

We Tab to Comment: and add :This Scenario shows sales at Reduced Prices

With the Scenario Values dialog box open.

We select OK

We Change the prices to a Reduced Amount

The Scenario Manager dialog box opens.

We select OK

We want to Add to the Scenario.We select Add

With the Add Scenario dialog box open.In the Scenario Name: We Key Increased Prices

We select OK

We Tab to Changing Cells We notice that E22:26 are selected which is what we Want

We Tab to Comment: and add :This Scenario shows sales at Increased Prices

With the Scenario Values dialog box open.

We select OK

We Change the prices to an Increased Amount
