    Creating little global entrepreneurs

    WHO ARE WE?

We are a team of women who created the education start-up Aldatzen, that means changing in our mother language. Inside our start-up we develop the program creating little global entrepreneurs.

WHY DO WE NEED A CHANGE? In our experience, we have realized that the actual education system in most schools all over the world has been the same for more than a hundred years: children still receive lectures, sit in rows and cant oppose the opinion of the teacher. We use tools of yesterday to fill the needs of today.

Each child is best at a different type of intelligence, from kinesthetic to emotional. Todays education system is designed to develop just the logical one and the talents of many kids are underdeveloped.

WHAT DO WE DO ABOUT IT? We think that the change has to start from the way we teach our children and we propose a way based on their needs.

In order to create these little global entrepreneurs we develop a week long program in your school, composed of four workshops where the kids gradually obtain the following competences:

Introduction to lifelong learning and what it means to learn from every aspect of our lives. We are based on the book The Power of Diversity of Barbara Prashning, where the main aim is to transmit the kids the urgency of continuous learning to because the best version of themselves. Usually, after every dynamic, we make a short dialogue session where we crystalize all we have learned through the dynamic.

Working in teams and creating together, kids develop interpersonal skills. Based on emotional intelligence, we see the value of working on emotions to see how they affect our personal and professional life. To develop this ability, we work in teams, where understanding each other is a key factor.

First steps towards entrepreneurship: the kids start to be self-sufficient, proactive and their own leaders in order to overcome barriers. This idea is based on Montessori philosophy and we put it in practice giving challenges to children, where the goal is to improve their environment with their own resources.

What being global citizens means and learning from other cultures. In the past years we have traveled to many different countries, where we have developed our workshops and we have realized how enriching it is to connect with people all over the world, to learn from our differences and also from our similarities. We believe children should experience it in order to be more open-minded.

Inside the program, we create a connection between your school, another in India and the last in Spain; with the purpose of fostering a global mindset among the kids in a practical way. The kids will be able to communicate and create together through this international relationship.

Learning by doing, using games and dynamics in order to foster experimentation, develop each individuals skills and make the process fun. The goal is the kids to develop kinesthetic intelligence and experience what they learn.

Children develop their creativity and learn how to think out of the box. We are based on Ken Robinsons theory of the element, which is when kids do what they like and are good at. For that we use games, where they are given freedom to solve a challenge as they prefer to do so.

In order to evaluate these competences we conduct a survey with technical and emotional metrics at the beginning and at the end of the process, in order to check the results.

The values of commitment, respect and responsibility are the base of all our workshops.

EXPERIENCE This program has been designed for this trip to India and China. However, Aldatzen itself has been developed in several schools in Europe and India, where children have learned to work in teams, be more respectful to each other and share their opinions in a more natural way. They have also started to change their communities step by step, by making their streets look cleaner, for example.

OUR WORK We will design the most suitable process for your school together and then we will be in charge of choosing the most appropriate activities. After the sessions we will share the results with you, give you a tool guide in order to make it possible for teachers to keep applying the theories with the kids, and co-create in order to create a follow up of the process.

The initial program will consist of one to four sessions of 4h, where we will get noticeable results from the fourth on. It is available for any age of students but we think it is most appropriate from children eight to twelve years old.

I felt really good during the dialogue, I opened to my mates and weve been

    sincere.
