Business Description My present undertaking is to open a new coffee house inside the city zone. The Coffee Café is looking for a startup financing adding up to twenty

thousand dollars to buy furniture, installations and types of gear. The bistro is a new organization with Zanab, Brian, and Kishan as the

proprietors. We will each be claiming roughly 33.3 percent of the business to create an

equal and opportunity ownership I will initiate this project by making a precise project scope; in the

meantime devote my time dealing with group flow and do the task from the beginning up to the end, guaranteeing that the task addresses the issues of the clients.

The bistro will serve breakfast, lunch and night espresso. We will spend significant time in offering freshly ground coffee.

The meals we will be conveying are hand crafted, sans preparation formula.

Mission

Our mission is solely customer satisfaction in comfortable environment. This coffee shop should be a place of enjoyment and relaxation. The objectives of the firm is to serve good quality freshly brewed coffee,

freshly baked goods, to our customers and our employees will always have smile on their faces when doing so.

Advertising the shop through social media: Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook

Strength of shop: making a coffee shop around Rutgers Newark, NJIT is by marketing college students, professionals who are in the area to come buy freshly brewed coffee, and freshly baked goods.

Weakness: If the expense of the shop is high then will not generate revenues. The budget should be limited for shop.

Project Charter

We are constructing a coffee shop based in Newark near both the Rutgers and NJIT campuses.

In our business, we will have bookshelves filled with the best books of our time, tables, chairs, and not to mention freshly baked goods and our famous brewed coffee.

Our mission is solely customer satisfaction in a comfortable environment.

This coffee shop should be a place of enjoyment and relaxation.

We are going through with this project and it will help our customers find a great place to sit down and enjoy a warm cup of coffee.

It will be a place where they can find absolute solace and solitude in whatever they’re doing

Project Charter (Continue)

The objective of the firm is to serve good quality coffee and baked goods to our customers and our employees will always have a smile on their faces when doing so

We will advertise our business through social media, including Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, and Facebook.

As a newly opened coffee shop, we need to make a name for ourselves in a way where we can satisfy both the customers and our stakeholders.

The project must be completed by the deadline under the set budget. While the business is being constructed, the products that will be served to the customers must be

developed and brought up to the stakeholders for approval. Once the business has been built, we will be open for business and the quality of both our services and

products will continue to change and upgrade based off the constructive criticism of our customers. High level requirement was that project should be successful by our profit.  We have the risk of whether the customers will like our coffee products or not. If we build this project and it fails, we spent all that money with no chance of making any profit from our

investment. If we don’t go through with building our coffee shop we do save the money but also if our business

perseveres, we’ve lost all that potential income and chance of profit.

We want this project to be completed in approximately eight months from the start of construction. This includes the exterior, interior, and the product design.

We want to use $300,000 for the whole project to be completed, but if more is needed $50,000 will be used to cover whatever expense that exceeds the outlined budget.

Lesson Learned

This MIS 363 Course Project was both an enjoyable and a learning experience for us.

We started off rough not knowing what business to create for the project, but after a while we got the hang out of it and persevered.

In no time, we started coming up with great ideas to make our coffee shop more enjoyable to consumers and extremely profitable.

The one thing we would like to change is the amount of time that we were given for both phase 1 and phase 2.

For phase 1, we had about a week to complete it. Phase 2 was just uploaded onto Moodle for us about a week ago, so basically a week prior to the due date of the course project.

Page 18: Creating a Coffee Shop

Recommendation

Don’t wait until the last minute to do some of the required material – everything got too scrambled as we tried to rush the completion of the project.

Understand the material before attempting to start it – Always ask the professor any questions about the assignment to avoid any future confusion.

Meet with group members every week prior to the due date – We should’ve met with each other regularly so that we could update each other with what work we have completed
