Essential 7

Principles of Design- Use academic vocabulary of the elements of principles of Design to create an artwork.

Vocabulary

Division of Space/Balance: How the work is composed

Unity: How well the elements work togetherEmphasis: How we get the viewer to see

what we want

Division of Space and balanceSymmetrical

Even on both sides

Same amount of text

Division of Space and balanceRule of thirds

Most things were placed on the intersections of the lines for rule of thirds.

Unity Repetition

Repetition of the colors Hot pink

and Black.

Emphasis

Focal pointDrakes face & Interview title.

Use of contrasting colors creates focal point.

QUADRATIC FUNCTIONS

Algebra II

Page 10: CREATED AND PRESENTED BY: AJA DEVAUGHN Algebra II, World History and Digital Art POL’s.

Essential 6/7

Demonstrate knowledge of the faces of quadratic functions and how they all relate; perform all operations on imaginaries.

Page 11: CREATED AND PRESENTED BY: AJA DEVAUGHN Algebra II, World History and Digital Art POL’s.

Learned

To solve with quadratic formulaTo solve by factoringTo change from vertex to standard (vise

versa)Identifying vertex, Axis of Symmetry & y-

intercepts

Page 12: CREATED AND PRESENTED BY: AJA DEVAUGHN Algebra II, World History and Digital Art POL’s.

What is this stuff?

Quadratic: function in the form of ax²+bx+cEg: 3x²+6x+4Imaginary: Number who's square root is less

than 1Eg: √-9

Page 13: CREATED AND PRESENTED BY: AJA DEVAUGHN Algebra II, World History and Digital Art POL’s.

Importance

Being able to perform these skills are important because it will help me to prepare for SAT’s and future Math classes.

USING THE QUADRATIC FORMULA

Main Skill

Evidence/ Main Skill

Originally did not understand how to correctly use the quadratic equation at first.

Page 17: CREATED AND PRESENTED BY: AJA DEVAUGHN Algebra II, World History and Digital Art POL’s.

Error Analysis

After completing an error analysis I figured out that I got my signs confused causing me to get the wrong answer, however I still had one mistake.

Page 18: CREATED AND PRESENTED BY: AJA DEVAUGHN Algebra II, World History and Digital Art POL’s.

How I solved correctly

1.Write OG equation & get everything to left side of equal side.

3. Solve using quadratic formula.

4. Add together what you got from previous step.

2. Identify your ( a,b, and c) terms

5. Break up 360 into √36●√10.

The perfect square of 36 is

6.
