WordPress provides you two options
1.A free article publishing platform using .wordpress.com extension. So, if I want to create a free blog with linktons as the name the blog URL would be linktons.wordpress.com
2.Second option is self hosted blog with WordPress as the content management system.
Blogger or BlogSpot is a free blogging platform, owned by non other than Google. Blogger is one of the easiest platform to get started, you will find yourself writing your first article in a matter of minutes. If you peep into the history, you will find many of the world’s most popular bloggers started their blogging journey on Blogger.
Another well-known blogging platform Tumblr was recently taken over by Yahoo
for whopping $1.1 billion. Tumblr is a great integration of Social Media and blogging.
Many folks use Tumblr to curate articles from other sources, however you can run a
complete blog on this platform.
