To ensure that the motor would supply volts of electricity after being taken apart, we attached the axis of the motor to a power drill and connected the wires to a voltmeter (which successfully supplied about 3 volts).

Rotating blades spin rod connected to axis of fan

Spinning rod spins axis on which the magnet spins inside of the motor creating electrical power.

ConclusionUsing a prefabricated motor saved time.If we had created a motor from scratch it

would have been easier to manipulate the amount of volts produced.

Even though a prefabricated motor was used, the same concept was applied in creating electricity (a spinning magnet encircled by coils of copper wire)
