This state term contract includes the purchase of mainframe software and the following software categories:• Application Development • Network and Systems Management • Application Integration and Middleware • Security software• Database Management Systems• Miscellaneous Software, and • Balance of Line

Additional services available under thiscontract include: warranty upgrade, software product and documentation updates, software training, manufacturer-providedcustomization and installation, and consulting services related to products sold under this contract.

Awarded vendors provide competitive pricing by offering a discount (11.6 – 70 percent) off manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP). Some vendors offer general services administration (GSA) pricing or better. Discounts/pricing remains firm as negotiated with each vendor.
Vendors may offer additional discounts for large quantity orders.
Toll-free access to customer service representatives. Wide product selection. (Many vendors offer their entire product line on this contract.)
Contract Benefits

Online reporting capabilities (for example, order tracking, usage reports).
Prices are firm throughout the life of the contract.
Maintenance and price decreases are tied to the producer price index (PPI) to keep current with the market.
Includes the following value added services: installation, customization, consulting services, inventory management services, technical services and training.
IBM prices are tied to GSA pricing. The State of Florida receives Level J or GV pricing, whichever is less.

Pricing Approach – While pricing was negotiated with each vendor, all vendors on contract provided a discount off MSRP or GSA pricing. All vendors have agreed to maintain the same price for the remaining four years of the contract with the exception of maintenance pricing, which may increase by no more than 3 percent each year. Many vendors offer increased savings for large orders.
