SMOKING AND ALCOHOLISM
Smoking is dangerous to the
heart.The walls of the blood vessels
get thickened an more likely to
develop spasm because of
nicotine present in cigarettes.
Heavy drinking over a long time
can weaken the action of the
heart and lead to heart failure. It
also raises the blood pressureand risk of heat attack.
To quit smoking/ alcoholism
Decide positively that you want to quit
Be confident about your ability to stop
Stop carrying cigarettes with you
Limit places and circumstances when you
smoke or consume alcohol
Keep a smoke diary. W rite down the occasion of
every cigarettes you smoke and review the
information daily
R educe the number of cigarettes daily andgradually and quit smoking.
