CPSU & WPITCo-Design Session
25th February, 2016
On 25 February 2016, representatives from the Community and Public Services Union (CPSU) and the Welfare Payment Infrastructure Transformation (WPIT) Programme came together to define delegate engagement in the design of the WPIT Programme.
The objectives of the session were to:• Understand the WPIT Programme, the journey so far and what the future might look like;
and• Define how WPIT and the CPSU would work together moving forward in order to:
- Ensure staff and delegates are appropriately engaged throughout the Programme- Help deliver the WPIT Programme outcomes.
The session provided an opportunity for the CPSU to learn more about the WPIT Programme, its way of working and the input staff have provided so far. We built on what had already been raised by staff and developed ideas for what the future should look like. We also developed a set of guiding principles and proposed engagement activities to support CPSU and WPIT moving forward, and identified the challenges that we must overcome.
The session was hosted by Tam Shepherd, the Chief Digital Officer for the Department and Emma White, National Deputy Secretary for the CPSU – in closing they gave thanks for everyone's authentic input into the day and for providing a platform for future engagement.
