© DHI COVER YOUR NEED FOR SPEED Corporate licence + service agreement = more speed Users with corporate licences of MIKE 21 FM HD and MIKE FLOOD FM got a pleasant surprise with Release 2014 – and now they get another one when installing Service Pack 2 (SP2). Release 2014 brought a brand new, GPU-enabled, version of the MIKE 21 FM HD module. With SP2, the GPU support is extended so users can now benefit from PCs with up to 4 GPU cards – and get another terrific performance boost! Depending on the model setup and the type of GPU, the speed-up for one GPU card can be a factor 100 or more, when compared to running the same simulation on a single processor CPU!* Going from one to four GPU cards yields another potential speed-up factor of up to 3 – leading to a total speed-up factor in the range of 300! Furthermore, the largest speed-up factors kick in when you really need them – for large model meshes of 1 million elements or more. You can use the multiple GPU card option on both Windows and LINUX based hardware – with the usual limitations regarding the GUI running only on Windows. This new GPU ability is free of charge for as long as you maintain your service agreement for your corporate licence. Updated benchmark and validation results for MIKE 21 GPU are available on our MIKE by DHI website.
