Dear Ms. Berryman,
I am pleased to submit the enclosed revised submission package for proposed site improvements for Joseph Pennell Elementary School at 1800 W. Nedro Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19141 in the Belfield neighborhood of Philadelphia. This second submission is in response to the Philadelphia Art Commission Decision Form dated June 3, 2020.
Per your remarks listed on the Decision Form, SALT has prepared additional submission materials, including perspective renderings and section elevations which show details such as material types, tree locations, and play equipment heights. Additionally, we have provided the Planting Plan with Plant Schedule at 90% completion, which further describes tree species and locations. 7. TREE PROTECTION FENCING SHALL BE INSTALLED PRIOR TO ANY WORK BEINGPERFORMED ON SITE. TREE PROTECTION FENCING SHALL REMAIN INTACT AND INGOOD CONDITION THROUGHOUT DURATION OF CONSTRUCTION UNTIL ACCEPTANCEBY OWNER. SEE TREE PROTECTION DETAIL FOR REQUIREMENTS.
8. PROTECT EXISTING RIGHT-OF-WAY- SIDEWALK DURING DEMOLITION ANDCONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY. DOCUMENT ALL EXISTING SIDEWALKS PRIOR TOCOMMENCEMENT OF CONSTRUCTION. ANY AND ALL DAMAGED SIDEWALKS(SIGNIFICANT CRACKS, STAINING, CHIPS, AND OTHER ADDITIONAL WEAR) DUE TOCONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY SHALL BE REPLACED AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE

11. CONTRACTOR TO RETURN SALVAGED MATERIALS NOTED ON PLAN TO THE SCHOOLDISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA (OWNER).
12. PROTECT EXISTING SITE ELEMENTS (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO BUILDING,CURBING, WALLS, AND FENCING) TO REMAIN DURING CONSTRUCTION. DAMAGE TOANY EXISTING SITE ELEMENT AS A RESULT OF CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES SHALL BEREPAIRED/ REPLACED AT CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE. CONTRACTOR SHALLSUFFICIENTLY DOCUMENT EXISTING DAMAGE TO SITE ELEMENTS THAT MAYOTHERWISE BE CONSIDERED AS DAMAGED DURING CONSTRUCTION.
