Mode of Study • MSc +Dissertation+ GPD (+50 +10)

= 180 credits for MSc

• PG Diploma = 8 modules (120 credits)

• PG Cert = 4 modules (60 credits)

• Semester 1: 4 modules

• Semester 2: 4 modules plus GPD

• Semester 3: Dissertation

Module Delivery

• Most modules will comprise 1 hour lecture

plus a 2 hour tutorial

• Different teaching styles e.g. – Traditional lectures, Group work, Case studies

– Activity led learning e.g. games, research, simulations

• Assessment typically by: - Assignments, Presentations, Portfolios, Posters

- On line tests, Mini in-class tests

Project Dissertation

- 50 credits towards 180 credits for MSc

- Approx 600 hours of work

- The project topic is YOUR strategic choice

- Use the project to underpin your future career

direction (in addition to your MSc)

- Learn how to do high level research in your

chosen area

- Use the dissertation to ‘show case’ your new

research and problem solving skills
