BEING HEARD AT COUNCIL MEETINGS If you have something to say about a matter that is on a Council Agenda, you can attend either a Community Access Session the week before the meeting, or subject to eligibility as a party with an interest, you can make a presentation during the Council meeting. COMMUNITY ACCESS SESSIONS These sessions are generally held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 5.30pm. Passionate about something? Have a great idea you think needs to be heard? Then why not come along and tell your Councillors about it. The next Community Access Sessions will be held on Wednesday 4 March 2020 and Wednesday 18 March 2020. PRESENTATIONS BY PARTIES WITH AN INTEREST When there’s a matter on the Council agenda that you may be directly affected by you can come and speak to the Council during the formal Council meeting. USE OF RECREATIONAL SPORTING GROUNDS AND HARD COURTS WINTER 2020 SEASON 1 APRIL – 30 SEPTEMBER 2020 Applications are invited from clubs requiring the use of City reserves and hard courts during the 2020 Winter Season (1 April 2019 – 30 September 2020). Application forms are available from the City of Busselton Venue Support Services Team by Emailing: [email protected]. Please direct all enquiries to Tracey Marra on (08) 9781 0440. Copies are also available to collect at Geographe Leisure Centre and Naturaliste Community Centre. Completed application forms must be returned no later than 4.30pm, Friday, 06 March 2020. A copy of current public liability insurance must be attached to applications. From the applications received, ground usage will be scheduled and ground hire charges will be raised. GST will be proportionally applied to all ground usage within the City. BUSSELTON MARGARET RIVER AIRPORT – REGISTRATION OF INTEREST AND ADVERTISING SURVEY Survey Closes 28 February 2020 Busselton Margaret River Airport will soon service three interstate Jetstar passenger services per week from Melbourne in addition to the current FIFO flights. The City of Busselton is undertaking a short survey to gauge demand for advertising at Busselton Margaret River Airport. In order to maximise the benefits for your business, we would like to understand where at the airport you would like to advertise and how you would like to display your content. To register your interest or complete the survey which closes on 28 February 2020, visit www.yoursay.busselton.wa.gov.au and search ‘airport advertising’. Following the survey, Busselton Margaret River Airport will finalise advertising opportunities and make them available to interested parties. Direct Melbourne- Busselton flights will commence on 25 March 2020 and the City of Busselton is looking to enter into a commercial agreement with a suitably experienced operator to run a kiosk located in the Busselton Margaret River Airport terminal building.
