Class Rings
Pursuing post secondary education is a challenge that differs for each of us.
Our goals vary fronn taking one course to completing requirements for a
diploma or degree. Class rings are a traditional way to recognize and remem-
ber our academic achievement. After investing much time and effort in earning
a degree, a sizable monetary expense is required. Prices for rings continue to
escalate to where rings require an investment from $85.00 to $210.00.

Dedication
To Teaching
William Preston Sellers
The 1983-84 edition of "Cougar Tracks" is dedicated
to an individual who is truely dedicated to his profes-
sion. Seldom do we pause to recognize excellence in
teaching. Our instructors are often taken for granted;
and rarely do we express our appreciation to them.
Thus, in dedicating this yearbook to William Preston
Sellers, it is with acknowledgement of his outstanding
performance as a member of the faculty of Central
Carolina Technical College.
Preston Sellers has been employed at Central Caroli-
na Technical College since August 1, 1974. He is a
versatile member of our faculty, qualified to teach phys-
ics, math and many aspects of Instrumentation and
Electronics. He has earned a bachelor's and a master's
degree in Physics from North Carolina State University;
and he has completed course work required for a PhDin Physics. Mr. Sellers is married and has two children.
His hobbies include: sailing, camping, photography and
reading.

Light
In September the year was anew,Each of us come in search of knowledgeIn the dark, but with a desire to know, to
see
But just as we need light, to perceivewith our eyesWe need the light gained by knowledge,For success in all our pursuits.
As this year comes to a close, in retro-
spect.
Can we consider our year a sunrise?
