OPC was designed to provide a common bridge for Windows based software applications and process control hardware , PLC , Embedded or DCS.

Standards define consistent methods of accessing field data from plant floor devices.

This method remains the same regardless of the type and source of data.

An OPC Server for one hardware device provides the same methods for an OPC Client to access its data as any and every other OPC Server .

Initial release in 1996.One De facto protocol standard in automation since ~2000

1. INSTALL COSMOS CLOUD Collector (Request Your version from [email protected])2. Start Cosmos collector demo application. Interface 1 will start.3. Press Select OPC tag button.Interface 2 will shown.4. Browse your OPC item via treeview and press OK.5. Repeat item selection routine (up to 5 tag)6. Start collector
