THANK YOU FROM ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
The St. Vincent De Paul members would like to THANK the parishioners of Corpus Christi Parish for their generosity in our collections of food and money in the month of November and also to the St. Alfio’s Society that donated 40 Thanksgiving baskets. We helped 40 needy families for Thanksgiving dinner. During this Holiday Season it is important to realize that there are many of people that are not as fortunate as we are and it is our duty as Catholics to help bring a little happiness to our neighbors. SVDP knows that the month of December will be equally challenging and we hope that the Corpus Christi family will be as generous as last month.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL'S CHRISTMAS DINNERS FOR THE NEEDY
If you are in need of a Christmas Dinner or you know of a neighbor that is in need of a Christmas Dinner, please contact the rectory at 978-685-1711 and speak to the women in the office, they will request your name, address, and a contact
number so we can call you and let you know when and where the dinners will be handed out. Please call as soon as possible as our requests have to be sent in to the main SVDP office.

Have you noticed that many of the recent (and bestselling!) books are all about personal growth and success? They take various approaches to achieving your dreams, becoming wealthy or more content. One common theme, however, is that of expectation. Set your goals, identify your desires, and look for what you want with a positive and hopeful attitude. If you expect great things, they will come. Israel had been expecting great things from God for centuries. God’s promises to them were always fulfilled and they could count on His love and support. Their enemies would fail, and Israel would enjoy the bounty of the Lord’s Providence. God was faithful to them, and they in turn would be faithful to Him. “Wait for the Lord!” was their cry of encouragement as they waited, expecting the Messiah. Advent is our time of expectation. We look and wait and ponder and hope for the coming of the Lord. We want Him to come so our doubts are answered, our sins forgiven, our fears relieved and our hopes fulfilled. Live in great expectation and God will not disappoint you.
