GRID Alternatives trains and leads teams of volunteers to install solar electric systems for low-income families, in partnership with both nonprofit groups like Habitat for Humanity and local governments. Since piloting this program in 2004, GRID Alternatives has installed 230 solar electric systems throughout California. Over their projected lifetimes, these systems will produce over $3.79 million for low-income families struggling with high energy costs, while offsetting 11,507 tons of CO 2 emissions. Becoming a GRID Alternatives sponsor is a great way to demonstrate your company’s commitment to sustainability and community, and to involve your employees in a fun and educational team-building project that provides tangible, long-term benefits to low-income families and the environment. We are both a nonprofit organization and a California licensed C-10 electrical contractor, and all of our installation projects are fully supervised by experienced solar installation professionals and follow Corporate Sponsorship Opportunities GRID Alternatives 3260 W.
