Introduction

Over the last few years, the compliance function has been undergoing rapid transformation,

impacted by new complex regulatory controls, technological disruptions such as Artificial

Intelligence and cryptocurrencies, and malicious threats including cybercrime and data breaches.

The torrent of new complex regulations has brought with it a huge shift in regulatory approach

and intent. To ensure maximum adherence to these, industry leaders are starting to source new

ways of addressing the various challenges they face in the most cost- and resource- efficient ways.

Compliance teams which are proactive and anticipate the developments that lie ahead will be better

equipped to respond effectively to these challenges, build on the capabilities of their compliance function

and ultimately add real value to their business. It comes as no surprise then that the compliance function

is entering a new phase of maturity with a growing focus on providing strategic value to the business with

compliance now having a more active role in corporate management.

The Forum

IMH, in association with ICA, is organising the International Compliance Forum to discuss the latest developments

and trends in corporate governance, and also address the current challenges facing the global compliance & ethics

community. The forum is intended as a platform to help facilitate discussions on the benefits of compliance management

in business and more importantly, the return on investment of compliance.

The International Compliance Forum will welcome a number of high caliber international speakers who will discuss how

the compliance function has progressed over the years and discuss ways in which organisations can use their compliance

function to enable change and offer their business the competitive advantage it needs.

*IMH will provide a Certificate of Attendance to all participants. Subject to CPD requirements, this can be used to obtain the relevant number of hours’ accreditation. The number of CPD hours available may vary depending on the rules applied by the relevant association/society on time recording criteria.

The maximum number of CPDs available may change according to the final agenda.
