What is a domain name?• A domain name is the name or ID of a website.• (This means: google.com, twitter.com, you get the

picture! )During this workshop, everyone is going to build their own website. You choose your domain name accordingly! • *Select the part in pink, the extension is pre-set.*• Ex: myname.me, creativeti.me, ideas.me,

You may not be able to get your name exactly- if not… Get CREATIVE with your domain!

Let’s Get Ready:Download the Software

After you register for a domain name we need you to download software to facilitate in the training program.

All instructions are provided on slide 14

• Go To: https://nc.me • Enter your preferred domain name• Click Search button

Registering your Domain:

• Click Add • Click Complete Order

• Select options of your choice• Enter your student email that ends in .edu (required, even if

you do not plan to use email hosting)

• Check the inbox of the email account you entered on prior page

• This is your Email for verification

• Click Verify

• Click REGISTER

• Complete Registration

• Click Finish Up

• Close and reopen your browser, go to: namecheap.com

• IMPORTANT:Remember your username and password
