AMMONITE
These creatures lived in the seas between 240 - 65 million years ago,
They became extinct along with the dinosaurs.
The name 'ammonite' originates from the Greek Ram-horned god called Ammon.
AMMONITE
This ammonite was found rite in the Saint Louis Area along the Mississippi River
BRACHIOPOD
Brachiopod are marine animals that are rare in today times ,but in Paleozoic Era they dominated the sea floors
There are about 300 living species of brachiopods.
They around 250 million years ago
Brachiopod have two shells not in some cases one shell is bigger than the other
Brachiopods are filtered animals they eat upon microscopic organisms and bits of organic matter.
BRACHIOPOD
This was found in the caverns in Saint Louis This fossil contains many kinds of Brachiopod
Archimedes
They are about 324 million years old and were found in Crawford County, Indiana.
Archimedes are screw like creatures Archimedes are a type Bryozoan
ARCHIMEDES
This was found in the Missouri area at a location called Goose Creek
Bryozoans
They are know as moss animals There are about 5000 species Some bryozoans are marine and some
are freshwater meaning the live in river ,lakes, or oceans
They came around during the Ordovician Period

This fossils was found in the Missouri River
Trilobite
The name means three lobes Trilobites are a group of extinct marine
arthropods They are about 526 million years They were around about the Early
Cambrian period They shaped like a rolle polle Belong to a group of orthopoids
TRILOBITE
This fossil was found rite in the Kansas City Missouri
Bivalve
Clams and their relatives (oysters, scallops, and mussels) are often called bivalves
Bivalve were around in the early Cambrain Period
They are about 510 million years old Modern Bivalve live in freshwater and
marine waters 30,000 spieces
BIvalve
This was found in Jefferson County Missouri
