CBI has an outstanding legacy of serving and defending Iowa’s community banks, giving that personal touch as do each of our member banks in serving their communities. In spite of numerous industry changes and competition, CBI Education, Advocacy and Services continue to reach out, supporting community banks in their efforts to maintain those personal relationships.

The CBI Management Conference and Annual Convention is the premier summer event to bring Iowa’s community bankers together—it is truly “where everybody knows your name”. Events like the Kickoff Reception on Wednesday night, the Gala/PAC Auction & Tradeshow Thursday night, and the Mixed-Pair Golf Tournament on Friday afternoon provide great opportunities for camaraderie and networking with your fellow Iowa community bankers.

We make a difference in peoples’ lives and communities – it’s the essence of what community banking is about and the legacy we work to preserve. I urge all Iowa community bankers to hear great speakers and participate in fun family events at the 44th Management Conference and Annual Convention, July 15-17, 2015 in Okoboji, Iowa. Come join us--there’s a seat with your name on it!

CBI’s Management Conference and Annual Convention is often referred to by insiders as the “Family Reunion”. And it’s true; since 1972, the CBI Annual Convention has been a tradition of community bankers and their families joining together every July to learn, laugh and play in beautiful Okoboji, Iowa. This year’s Convention theme was chosen with you in mind. Community banks are special because in your local communities your bank is also Where Everybody Knows Your Name.

On the following pages, you’ll find information on nationally-recognized speakers, educational and networking opportunities, and access to the latest products and services--all brought to you by CBI to help rally and educate our community bankers.

The information, ideas and goodwill shared at this event will leave you energized and motivated. So register today and join the gang at CBI’s 44th Management Conference and Annual Convention. Cheers!

spouses, family and associate/affiliate guests are all encouraged to attend

the General sessions. Presentations by Jim Olson, Chip Eichelberger, John

Buhrmaster, Jim Schipper andJeff Havens are informative and entertaining for all attendees!

Our final keynote sendoff speaker jeff Havens began his career as a high school English teacher before following his father Rex Havens into the world of stand-up comedy, where he worked with some of the brightest lights in American comedy and honed the art of engaging audiences through laughter.

Jeff has brought his unique, side-splitting, message-based lectures and keynote addresses to General Electric, Ford Motor Company, McDonald’s, University of Wisconsin, Purdue, and hundreds of other corporations and colleges in the United States and Canada. He’ll be giving his “US vs. THEM!: Understanding Millennials” presentation to close this year’s Convention events.

Original, informative, hilarious and powerful, Jeff’s speeches have transformed the way businesspeople approach the idea of personal and professional growth. His ability to help people achieve success in leadership, customer service, communication, generational issues, corporate culture and more by talking about what they should and shouldn’t do guarantees that his audience manages to laugh and learn at the same time.

Jeff’s insistence that we’ll all improve better and faster if we enjoy the learning process is proven in his ability to provide all the content of a traditional presentation with all the entertainment value of a comedy show.
