The home plate umpire will be in- formed of the identity of each team’s manager prior to the start of the game. Required Uniform Managers, Coaches and Players shall wear uniforms consistent with Babe Ruth All-Star teams. No coaching shorts, player shorts, ragged shirttails, etc... will be allowed. The commissioner assigned to the tournament will make the final decision on uniforms. All players must have the Babe Ruth patch, which is to be worn on the left sleeve, on the left chest of a vest-type uniform, or on the cap and at least a six- inch number on the back. NO MANAGERS, COACHES OR PLAY- ERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD WITHOUT THE PATCH OR NUMBER ON THEIR UNIFORMS. Catcher’s Gear Catchers are required to wear a mask, helmet and protective cup dur- ing warm-ups before and during the game. Also, any other player or coach used to warm up a pitcher either between innings or in the bull- pen should wear a helmet and mask. Batting Helmets An approved, double ear flap batting helmet must be worn at bat, when Running the bases, in the on-deck circle, and by any other play- er that might be coaching at first or third. As well as all bat persons. Equipment Bats, gloves, balls and other equipment must be kept in the dugout, in their proper place, and never on the field. Discarding of any equipment or other items in an unsportsmanlike manner can result in ejection from the game. Authorized Players in dugout and on the Field. Only players, managers, coaches and bat persons will be allowed in each team’s dugout or on the field.
