Assessment is one of the important means used in the educational field that aims to guide

the educational process and know hoe far it succeeds and is able to meet future

challenges, whether it assesses the curriculum, its content and objectives, or judges the

teaching techniques and methods chosen by the teacher to implement the curriculum,

and the extent of knowledge, skills, attitudes acquired by learners, and diagnoses difficulti

es encountered by the teacher and the learner during the educational process.

Assessment incorporates the educational process parties as an important and essential

link in every step of the process. It contributes to discovering teachers’ and learners' level

s, abilities and preparations, and provides the educational process parties with the tools

and data necessary to achieve the desired outcomes of the process.

2. Group B subjects undergo formative assessment and have no summative one.

3. Group C subjects are electronically studied and assessed as follows:

– Subjects (Computer Sciences, Business Studies, Creative Design and Innovation) are distributed according to the study plan.

– Electronic Learning is allocated a minimum number of hours of 30 minutes per subject per week and an average of 11 hours during the scheduled study periods.

– Group C subjects are not associated with Pass or Fail.

– The number of hours is added to the learner’s certificate to support technical learning skills.

– Failure to achieve the number of hours required results in not including them in the learner’s certificate.

– The learner is enrolled in the Smart Learning Program and given a user name to access the e-learning portal to complete the hours specified for Group C subjects.

Central exams are determined by three periods for the learner to enroll in through electronic registration.

Failure and retention to repeat the grade policy is applied for Grades 3 through 12.

Learners in (Literacy and Academic) streams are committed to study hours, in which the learner sits the exam after completing the course according to the plan.

• Assessment is divided into 4 quarters, each makes 25% of the year. • Each term contains 2 - 3 assessment tasks applied within 8 weeks of formative assessment. • Week 9 is Knowledge Week (Knowledge Test) • The table below shows the three assessment types:

# Assessment Tool Weight Description

1 Knowledge Test (KT) 30% • This is the end of quarter exam (after every 8 weeks)

2 Assessments (A) A1, A2 & A3 60)% • These assessments take place during the quarter and are continuous assessment. Some s

ubjects have two ‘Assessments’ and some have three. I have attached a sheet to explain this for each level.

3 Pop Quiz (PQ) 10% • Every week for 8 weeks per subject (total 8 per subject)
