Overtime the land was became eroded because of the destruction of trees and different flowing rivers. So starting in 1911, Cincinnati began buying and planting land for what is now Mt. Airy Forest. After World War II, just like any other communities, there became a huge influx in suburban areas and mixed residential development. The housing stock consists of rehabilitated farm homes, as well as ranch houses, Colonials, and Tudors. The pictures below show the context of land.
