CARE HOME WITH NURSING Namaste Care is an extension of the more usual daily ‘care’ our residents receive and suitable for residents with advanced dementia (or other life limiting illness) who no longer benefit from, or can no longer take an active/ meaningful part in the communal life and activities of the home. Namaste supports the belief that the spirit of the person with advanced dementia still continues to live. We can see this spirit in their eyes, their smile and their response to a loving touch. Our Namaste sessions use sensory stimulation for the resident, especially touch and we use simple activities to engage and occupy them in a calm environment. This care will be free from distraction and staff involved will not be available for other daily routines during this time.
